We loved our stay at Rivers Edge. It felt like we were camped smack bang in Tasmania's Wilderness, even with the road quite close to the property. Andrew's wheelbarrow of wood was plenty for our camp fire over two nights. This Hipcamp goes to the top of our list.

What a nice place to stay. The tour was great. my daughters got to pick lots of fruit for there baskets and cracked some hazelnuts. However the highlight would have to had been feeding the geese apples and pears ever morning. We also ordered a basket of fresh vegetables.

I loved Cherry Top so much I stayed for 3 nights!!! The hosts, John and Leslie are an absolute delight, truly wonderful and welcoming people! The camping was quiet and easily assessable in my van (that isn't good off road), I stayed in both the villa and the camping sites, and enjoyed both equally! Lilydale is a little piece of paradise, and the farm is beautiful! Don't hesitate, just book your stay already!!

Weekend Trip to Inglis River Caravan and Camping

We loved our stay at the Inglis River Retreat. The property was picturesque with the river flowing through it and after setup we felt super relaxed for the duration of our stay. The property catered so well to children and our little boys were living their best lives during our stay. We highly recommend this camp and will be back for sure!

1 night at Cherry Top Farmstay

It was a quaint, quite canpsite in a cute town of Lilydale. There was an ample supply of firewood provided at a reasonable cost and we opted to have the garden tour, which my daughter and I loved. The hosts were very lovely. We roasted our hazelnuts right on the fire (in the shell) and Lesley showed us how to use the antique cracking dohickey. So many fruit trees that produce and the veggie gardens as well, we love fresh produce! We even got to feed the geese. We would definitely recommend this Farm Stay!

Beautiful setting in the peaceful Lilydale town. John & Leslie are wonderful hosts and have such a stunning property. The property has a beautiful layout with clean toilets and showers available to arrange. Have a wonderful view of the mountains and stunning picturesque stargazing views at night. Hop on into lend a hand picking some hazelnuts or purchase their fresh produce. Heaps of activities & options for kids. Now for the negative comments here please remember this is a farm in a farm town so yes there are cows, geese and other animals around so the occasional noise is bound to happen, but we have stayed for a few weeks at this space and couldn’t complain about a thing.

Don’t hesitate in staying here, views are beautiful, easy to find and map instructions to your site great. Was incredibly quiet and peaceful, clear sky and the moon coming up and stars were amazing to see. Attach pics if I can.

So far, this is our favourite campsite of the entire trip. We had the place to ourselves, waking up was serene. It has everything we wanted. Was the first site in and will be the last site leaving.

Pitch your tent or park your van next to one of our lovely dams. The property is home to running streams, waterfalls, platypus, free range pigs, sheep along with stunning views. The majestic presence of Mt Roland, Mt Van Dyke, Mt Claude and Black Bluff can be seen from various parts of our property with a stunning valley view sitting pretty at the rear of our plateau paddocks. Nestled in the heart of North West Tasmania with camping close to Cradle Mountain only a 35 minute picturesque drive, 15 min from Sheffield the town of Murals, 5 min to Lake Barrington perfect for swimming, rowing, water skiing, power boating and canoeing, 5 mins to Tasmazia with its model villages and endless mazes to occupy the kids along with many walks and natural Tasmanian attractions close by. For those wanting to spread out, prefer privacy or are traveling in groups we encourage you to book our 4wd Plateau and 4wd Dispersed Sites which are open during the peak months depending on cattle movements. Our main campground has 10 sites and is open all year round. The main campground has level grassed campsites measuring 6m in width and 19m in length (Sites 2 - 10) Campsite 1 is the larger site and measures 10m in width and 19m in length and sits seperate to the other sites. Price advertised is per site, per night for 2 people. Campfires permitted in designated area within the main campground only and when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is provided. We have on offer produce to pick from the market garden (seasonal), admire our lovely stud cattle as they roam about their day, help feed the chooks and collect fresh eggs, or watch our beautiful Clydesdales being worked or relaxing in the paddocks after hours. We offer grassy, level paddocks for campers, where you are welcome to choose your own spot to set up, ensuring your privacy. All campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and we kindly ask you to take all waste with you. There is a dump station in town. Our 34-acre property is nestled on the edge of the ancient Tarkine rainforest on the north west coast of Tasmania (approx 1 hour 15 min west of Devonport and the Spirit of Tasmania). At La Bena, you will find a relaxing and quiet place to park and camp, that will give you easy access to our wild surroundings. On the property, we have a short but enchanting bush walk to our local creek (great place for a picnic!) that will take you past some giant man ferns, myrtles, celery top pines, pepper berries, and an assortment of gums and native currents. From 4WD tracks to pristine beaches, we are within a 30-minute drive of a huge range of activities and adventures so numerous options for day trips on your doorstep. Famous Boat Harbour Beach is only a short 15-minute drive away and just beyond that is Sisters Beach which has some great coves and hikes (Anniversary Bay) into Rocky Cape National Park that will take you along the coast to further secluded beaches and some sacred Aboriginal sites. If you head inland from La Bena you will enter the Tarkine Rainforest and travel along some great 4WD tracks that will take you to the Dip River Forest Reserve which has the big tree and Dip Falls - you can then head to Stanley for a meal at Hursey's Seafood and then loop back around to camp (a great day out). The camping area caters to self-contained campers only, so please ensure you have a camp toilet with you, and can take all waste when you go. Please leave no trace.

Camping is on river flats within a lush green ferny forested and sometimes misty valley, below Mt Duncan and Mt Lorymer. Very nearby there are popular hiking and mountain biking trails. Adjacent to the camping area the Leven River has some of the best trout fishing in North West Tasmania. There's places to kayak along with private river beaches to sit and relax, enjoy a paddle, swim or have a picnic. Camping is on river flats, tent's and campervans can settle into grassy clearings within the Wattle's. While larger vans can set up on a larger cleared grassy area. There plenty of open space to throw a frisbee or have a game of cricket. The property is accessed from a very scenic 4 km well maintained gravel road that winds downhill to the base of the the valley. ***Please note there are no facilities. Please bring a camping toilet (there's a dumping point in Knights Rd, West Ulverstone) and your own rubbish collection. Campfires are permitted when there are no local fire restrictions in place .
