Inglis River Caravan and Camping Retreat is tucked away beside the Inglis River, 6mins from Wynyard or 30mins from Burnie. It is a secluded hideaway from the world. The property has cleared land, is partially forested and is located on a bend in the Inglis river. The property is home to wildlife including wallabies, wild ducks and fresh water lobster. We also have a few cows and goats on the property that love being fed a bit of bread 🐮 Apples are provided as well subject to availability. The animals will be your new best friend 😉 Kick back and relax around the campfire or take a swim in one of the many swimming holes, go Kayaking, fishing, walking, or mountain biking on our pretty cool down hill 400m thrill seeking track. Do you like Tasmanian Tigers? We have 10 located around the property. See how many your children can find 🥰 There is 15 acres to explore 🙌🏻 Plenty to keep the family entertained! It’s only a 6min drive into the Wynyard township to stock up on supplies or grab a nice coffee or meal at one of the local cafes. You could check out the award winning Wonders of Wynyard Information Centre, the Veteran Car Display and Art Gallery, the gorgeous walks and scenic drive to Table Cape Lighthouse, Fossil Bluff or Boat Harbour Beach. The Wynyard Foreshore Market is also on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month along the East Wynyard Foreshore. It’s definitely worth a look 👀 Feeling adventurous and want to explore? The Stanley Nut is only a 40minute drive west where you can learn all about the history the town has on offer. You could also check out Dip falls, The Big Tree or The Trowutta Arch. Love horses or want to learn how to ride? William’s Run Riding School is literally down the road from our property. Why don’t you check them out during your stay 🐴 Want to go bushwalking? Head to Sisters Beach or Rocky Cape to explore the National Park- check out parks.tas.gov.au for more information. Inglis River Caravan and Camping retreat is a safe haven away from the hustle and bustle of the crazy modern world. As well as camping it is also available to rent for weddings- please contact us for more information. ** Before booking please note:- Campers must be self contained and have their own toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The nearest Waste dump point is located at Goldie St Wynyard adjacent to the Waste Transfer Station. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed. **

An amazing property & hosts
AMAZING!! What a place, it was very hard to leave. This beautiful property has it all, whether you want to sit back & watch the kids play, relax in a stunning setting with a fire overlooking the Inglis River or better still, have a ball on the rope swing, jumping off the pontoons, kayaking up & down the river or hitting the downhill MTB track. There’s also a sandpit & toys, a fairy garden, swing sets scattered around the property & a newly added ninja slackline to keep the little kids entertained. Aaron & Amanda have done an impressive job creating this place & are continuing to improve it each day. Legends! We stayed at the bottom of paddock 5 which had good entry to the river, especially for the young kids. But all the paddocks are close by that you can walk between them & enjoy all the activities. Thanks Aaron & Amanda - what an awesome property, thanks for letting us enjoy it. We’ll miss our morning rope swings!

I wanted to take a moment to share how incredible our experience was at Inglis River. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by our wonderful hosts, Arron and Amanda, who were both incredibly accommodating and friendly. They made us feel right at home and ensured that we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The property itself was immaculate—everything was so tidy and well-kept, and it was easy to find, which made our arrival stress-free. It's clear that Arron and Amanda have poured their hearts into this place, and we truly appreciated all the care and attention they have put into making it such a special spot. You can feel their passion for the property in every detail. We had a fantastic time and can't wait for the day we can return. Highly recommend this Hip Camp to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-maintained, and welcoming escape! Thank you, Arron and Amanda, for making our stay so memorable!

Camp Site 1 - Hideaway Haven
What a fantastic campground, our site was perfect. It was so wonderful to find a quiet and so well presented campground in a wonderful bush setting so close to the coastal attractions. The booking process was seamless, the directions and access instructions simple and easy to follow. Then the you find this wonderful campground, it’s a credit to the lovely hosts. Throughly recommend!! They have added a number of activity options to keep the family busy; a riverside pontoon with a bar area adjacent, Fairy garden along a short riverside walk and a short Mountain Bike Trail. A great place to stay!!
