Great views, amazing host!
The views over the mountains and valleys were breathtaking and the farm was ideally located so close to the lilydale township. It is also a perfect position to park up and explore the North and North East region of tassie. What was really amazing was the host Mel. She made us feel like we were home for the entire 2 week stay, and we would highly recommend this hipcamp stay.

Camping in Tassie Paradise
We spent 2 weeks at Melinda's Black Cottage property and had the best stay imaginable. Melinda is an amazing host and treated us like family. The farm animals are delightful and we were lucky enough to be there to see the new baby chickens. The views over the Lilydale mountain ranges and valleys are spectacular. This is a great place base yourself to see the North East corner of Tasmania and we highly recommend this Hipcamp.

Great spot! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Welcoming & helpful host, well maintained and very clean campground with easy access in and out. Fire pit & Fire wood on site to enjoy marshmallows under the stars, our kids loved riding their bikes up and down the banks. A safe private place to leave the van for the day and explore the surrounds, we loved our 2 nights here. Thank you for opening up your backyard to us we loved waking up to the beautiful views of the frost over the rolling hills of Lilydale.

Apple Tree Powered Site
Everything about staying here has been perfect. Mel is the most welcoming host, greeted us to make sure we were comfortably set up, and offered us some amazing produce from her garden for us to take on our travels. This property is a short drive from Launceston but much worth the trip to experience the serenity of Lilydale and the beautiful nature that surrounds.

Camping beside the apple tree
We had an awesome time staying at black cottage farm. Melinda was lovely and introduced us to Lamington the lamb. We picked some apples from the front tree and enjoyed the stunning sunset. Was a great base while we explored Launceston.
