Set high up in the mountains of cradle country at a 540m elevation, our beautiful farm is peaceful and picturesque. The majestic presence of Mt Roland, Mt Van Dyke, Mt Claude and Black Bluff can be seen from various parts of our property with a stunning valley view sitting pretty at the rear of our plateau paddocks. Nestled in the heart of North West Tasmania with camping close to Cradle Mountain only a 35 minute picturesque drive, 15 min from Sheffield the town of Murals, 5 min to Lake Barrington perfect for swimming, rowing, water skiing, power boating and canoeing, 5 mins to Tasmazia with its model villages and endless mazes to occupy the kids along with many walks and natural Tasmanian attractions close by. For those wanting to spread out, prefer privacy or are traveling in groups we encourage you to book our 4wd Plateau and 4wd Dispersed Sites which are open during the peak months depending on cattle movements. Our main campground has 10 sites and is open all year round. The main campground has level grassed campsites measuring 6m in width and 19m in length (Sites 2 - 10) Campsite 1 is the larger site and measures 10m in width and 19m in length and sits seperate to the other sites. Price advertised is per site, per night for 2 people. Campfires permitted in designated area within the main campground only and when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is provided. No amenities on site you must bring your own camping toilet and water. ** NO Dogs allowed on property as this is a working farm** Check us out on Instagram @thefarmcradle

Shae and Steve are absolutely lovely! The grass is amazing haha ran around it barefoot with my daughter. Great quiet spot with chickens dotted around. Communal fire pit but we had it to our self’s. Thank you for being so welcoming!

Serenity and Peace
Steve and Shae are awesome hosts and had the pleasure of meeting the goats, affectionately known as the bogans. Very peaceful, great location to use as a base to explore what is on offer, which is endless. Cradle mountain to the arboretum and everything in between. The sites are flat, well maintained and there is great fire pit area to sit around with friends, family and everyone else Absolutely recommend 10/10 and will be back to stay again ( I was only going to stay a few nights and extended my stay ) Thank you Steve and Shae for sharing your paradise 🤩

We really enjoyed our night camping at Shae & Steve’s. The hosts were really friendly and it was a lovely well maintained site. Steve was really great letting the kids to feed the goats.
