All to yourself
100% of recent Hipcampers say the pitch is private.
This PRIVATE primitive campsite is tucked away down a short walking path in the woods. A clearing in the woods offers a great space for multiple tents if desired and a beautiful and clear walking path towards the creek. Set up tents, have a cozy campfire and enjoy your private, secluded time away.Pitch your tent and relax under a canopy of trees or take a stroll down your private walking path to the creek. Take a swim if you'd like or fish while you are there. Enjoy your PRIVATE campsite fully surrounded by trees. There are neighboring campsites (camper and rv's) but they are well over an acre away and you have full privacy in the campsite area. Note this is FULLY primitive so plan accordingly and bring a camping toilet.

Happy campers here
Tent
OMG! Let me say me and my husband had a fabulous time here! There’s a creek nearby that I gather to wash the mud off my small car. We had one truck and small car! Pls swirl around the mud on the road if it was raining the night before. We did our part and clean up previous camper cans and beer bottles but still we had a great time warming up by the bond fire. We had to drive out a little on the road to charge our battery using solar cus the trees were in the way. It was easily located and would definitely come back! Highly recommended to all campers out there!

My husband and I loved this spot. The directions were easy to follow and the tent site is near the creek, whenever our dog got hot she would journey down to splash and it was just close enough to where I could hear her. The clearing was nice and flat for our tent and we loved the privacy which was the main draw so our dog could explore without bothering anyone. Thank you to the owners, we’d love to come back sometime :)

Very private site. Lots of area to spread out at camp. Cute creek. Only complaint is the road traffic and the noise from rowdy neighbors.

If you need a quick place
Tent
Wasn’t bad. Had no issue finding it or with anything else. Would’ve liked a little more to explore considering there are places on here with a ton more to walk around and see for the same price or less even (and those places have amenities)… but it was cool for a little private space for a night which is what I wanted.

The campsite felt very remote, but with little kids we also felt great about being only 20 min from home. The kids and adults both enjoyed the creek! It kept the kids busy for hours. We'll be coming back often!

Let’s go Lazy Frog!
Tent
What a beautiful & privately place to camp. We used our top tent plus made a nice set up around us. The river is most welcome on a hot day. It was clean and refreshing. We are experienced campers and do enjoy something that is far off the grid however this provides a small feel of that because you don’t see anyone but hear plenty of wildlife. You can also hear the cars but at night they are few and far between. There was a large number of cockroaches, both big and small, around the site. That was the only negative experience. Me and my husband would definitely camp @ Lazy Frog again. & will pass on this site to our friends and family. Thanks for hosting us Jennifer!
