El Cosmico takes its inspiration from a long American history of hippies, nomads, bohemians and those living a life of self-determination. We believe in tuning in, dropping out and being here now. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map provided at the front desk. Front desk hours are from 7:30am-11:00pm daily. If you are arriving after 11pm please call ahead for late check-in instructions.We provide the earth, you provide the shelter. BYO-Tent. Camping in your own tent or vehicle is $30 per night, per tent or vehicle for reservations checking in Sunday through Thursday and $50 per night for reservations checking in on Friday or Saturday nights (kids under 13 camp for free), and includes access to our communal spaces and bathhouses. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map. Maps are available at the front door of our main building. No need to check-in with the front desk, just grab a map and set-up.

We LOVE this DREAMY oasis!!

Absolutely INCREDIBLE! We immediately felt at home in such a peaceful oasis where every detail is thoughtful, creative and inspiring. The ammenties were stellar and made self-camping experience feel like glamping dream coem true. Every minute of our stay in the gorgeous El Cosmico was MAGICAL and we are already planning a trip back soon!

Neat place

Truly an amazing oasis in the desert. Their main arrival office/shop is really beautiful and well done. The staff there is top-notch. The truth is, they don't have a very good set up for Campervans. First of all, you must park in a gravel parking lot right next to the highway. Second challenges when it's freezing cold outside, all of their showers are open to the sky as well as the bathrooms, which is not ideal. They do have indoor bathrooms and a single indoor climate control shower. The sad part was we showed up at 9:30 PM with our shower gear and found a long line of people all waiting for the shower. They are currently planned to build a new operation and move everything but not sure if they will think about the sprinter vans/RV crowd.

We will definitely be back

We loved the relaxed environment!! The outdoor showers were a very unique experience, the indoor showers were good too. The “guacamole bowl” hot tubs were so relaxing with the wood burning heaters. It was nice to relax in the hammocks. Noticed how many times I have used the word relaxed, I just can’t find a better word to use. Next time maybe we will stay in a teepee or even one of the old style trailers.

The best campsite in Marfa. They could use a few extra showers, presently they have only one. The staff are good and the grounds are well keep.
