Our family has always dreamed of hosting a place for families and friends to come enjoy nature however we would have never dreamed of finding a property as unique and beautiful as this.
A lake when the water is high, a beautiful river when the waters low.
All crowned by a majestic limestone bluff, complete with boulders, coves and endless room for adventures.
This land was once a part of a wagon trail along the river and, if you're lucky, you can still find arrowheads along the paths.
The property is gated with a high privacy fence along the neighboring borders for security.
Sparrow Bend Riverfront offers a serene natural setting with standout views of the river and surrounding wildlife, making it a popular spot for campers seeking tranquility. The campsite is well-maintained, featuring clean restrooms and hot showers, with friendly and accommodating hosts. While most guests enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, some mention noise disruptions from neighboring dogs during the night. Overall, it's an inviting location for those looking to unwind by the water and enjoy outdoor activities like fishing and stargazing.
It was awesome! Beautiful scenery, water and super easy atmosphere. We went to Eagles Nest for a beer and it met some of the nice locals. Overall awesome and if you are planning on fishing I saw a lot of decent bass on the right side of the river.
This spot was pretty perfect for our night camping. Came out here to celebrate my birthday. We brought my Coleman camping grill, cooked us some burgers and fries. Little bit of a walk to the restrooms. Restrooms had an outdoor sink that was perfect for washing our mess after the burgers. We had a close walk to the river. My husband enjoyed some fishing and caught a few fish in the evening and in the morning near the big rocks.
Angela was super nice, accommodating and helpful. The showers were outdoors with hot water. The bathroom/shower area is a short walk up a hill from our campsite (3). The river was super clear and beautiful!
Beautiful campsite with access to the river. We went camping during the freeze, it was super fun. Really clean restrooms and beautiful nature. The hosts were very responsive and kind as well as organized.
Even though we were there during a freeze, we enjoyed the stay. The view on the river is very nice and communication with Angela was easy.
