We grow and process organic certified medicinal herbs and plants. The camping site is located in a beautiful location overlooking the lavender fields, in bloom december/january, with the ever-changing Mt Roland in the background. On days with cold southerly winds, alternative campingsites are available on the farm. Please contact us to find out. Includes use flushing toilet, hot shower and laundry (external access). Approx. 300m from the campsite. We are pet friendly. We've got room for up to 5 separate bookings. Due to shortage of personnel, we can no longer offer the farm tours. Hope this will change coming season 2024/25. But hipcampers are welcome to have a walk on the farm. We are working together with other organic certified farmers. They lease parts of our land to grow vegetables. Hipcampers are welcome to have a walk around their crops as well. Big news: we have started to build a tearoom with possibilities to organise herbal workshops and give education about growing and using medicinal herbs. . It will also have a shop and space to enjoy light refreshments, organic coffee, chocolate, juice and herbal tea. Extra bathroomfacilities will be available to our hipcampers only. Hope to have it finished season 2025/26.

At Hill Top Farm Meander we run beef cattle and five working draught horses. Our property boasts commanding views of Huntsman lake , the Great Western Tiers and Meander Valley. The surrounding mountains create a dramatic backdrop for Hill Top Farm. Our farm displays an abundance of natural beauty, with crystal clear springs and a diversity of mature and rare forest timbers. There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp. The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic. As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

Set high up in the mountains of cradle country at a 540m elevation, our beautiful farm is peaceful and picturesque. The majestic presence of Mt Roland, Mt Van Dyke, Mt Claude and Black Bluff can be seen from various parts of our property with a stunning valley view sitting pretty at the rear of our plateau paddocks. Nestled in the heart of North West Tasmania with camping close to Cradle Mountain only a 35 minute picturesque drive, 15 min from Sheffield the town of Murals, 5 min to Lake Barrington perfect for swimming, rowing, water skiing, power boating and canoeing, 5 mins to Tasmazia with its model villages and endless mazes to occupy the kids along with many walks and natural Tasmanian attractions close by. For those wanting to spread out, prefer privacy or are traveling in groups we encourage you to book our 4wd Plateau and 4wd Dispersed Sites which are open during the peak months depending on cattle movements. Our main campground has 10 sites and is open all year round. The main campground has level grassed campsites measuring 6m in width and 19m in length (Sites 2 - 10) Campsite 1 is the larger site and measures 10m in width and 19m in length and sits seperate to the other sites. Price advertised is per site, per night for 2 people. Campfires permitted in designated area within the main campground only and when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood is provided. OPEN FOR EASTER We are relocating to NSW April 23 but are still open until 21st April weather permitting. Located at Sheffield, the town of murals, is our home, Almost Heaven Clydesdales. We are based on a 50-acre working Beef cattle stud. You'll find lots of quiet pets to pat, farm experiences, and an assortment of activities. A wonderful green space to recharge, reflect and recoup with big open spaces to camp on level ground, with brilliant stars at night and beautiful vistas during the day. We have on offer produce to pick from the market garden (seasonal), admire our lovely stud cattle as they roam about their day, help feed the chooks and collect fresh eggs, or watch our beautiful Clydesdales being worked or relaxing in the paddocks after hours. We offer grassy, level paddocks for campers, where you are welcome to choose your own spot to set up, ensuring your privacy. All campers must be self-contained with their own toilet and we kindly ask you to take all waste with you. There is a dump station in town. This was our favourite campsite close to Barrington Lakes. The view was phenomenal. If we didn't have to recharge and dump our tanks every few days, we would have set up permanently, but I have no issue recharging when you get the stunning view without the crowds.

i absolutely loved the campsite. The field had a beautiful vista of farmland with a spectacular mountain backdrop. As the mist cleared in the morning the mountain appeared. The bathroom was a walk through an array of ordered shrubs and trees. It was clean, and generously offered apples and eggs for free. Marlene and her dog were very welcoming. Highly recommend!!

A quiet spot with a great view, I somehow lucked out and got the place to myself! The directions were easy to follow, yes the bathroom is a walk away from the site but it is lovely and clean. Also managed to see a stunning sunset and later the Aurora while I was there. Myself and my furry friend will definitely be back!

Camp and fish just a stonesthrow from one of Tasmania's most stunning natural landscapes, Cradle Mountain. Here you'll find nature at its best, just 10 minutes drive from the Cradle Mountain Visitors centre, the perfect base for discovering this magical area. Our campsites are on scenic, levelled areas overlooking the large dam and bushland, with grassed areas ideal for tents and camper-vans, and a portaloo a short walk away. The block is a natural timber and grassland block, with devils, quolls and wombats also residing here. We have one powered site available, and multiple unpowered sites. There is a lovely walking track around the dams periphery. Feed fish from the edge, spot platypus frolicking about, and keep your eye out for Peacocks wandering the property too. Whilst you are welcome to bring your dog with you, please ensure they don't harass the wildlife. A keen fisher fish in our dams for trophy size rainbow brown and brook trout catch and release fees and rules apply

Welcome to Sherwood River Camp, our self contained camping grounds with access to the Wild Mersey MTB trails. The camp grounds are located just 8 minutes from Latrobe and 15 minutes from Devonport.The camping area is located on the banks of the Mersey River where you can enjoy your favourite water activities or just relax by the water side and enjoy the sounds of nature.Campers must be self contained with their own camping toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. We are located on 25 acres of serene, private bush and pasture that bounds the Narawntapu National Park. We have a beautiful beach that's only a 3-5 minute walk away.Our property offers lots of space for you to choose the ideal private spot. Take advantage of the beautiful views or if you prefer, choose a spot that is more sheltered.  Guests are required to fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure.Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions in place and you can bring your own fire pit.
