Thank you to all who have enjoyed this amazing property and provided a review or rating!!! I am considering selling this property as it would be an amazing location for a secluded home on the river. There are no homes for over 1 mile upstream or for about 10 miles downstream so it could be a very special isolated location. There's a power line buried along the main road on the property so electricity is easily accessible. I would be selling the 40 acre parcel and another 11 acre parcel further downriver. One could also develop this to provide multiple building sites on the water or expand it to offer more campsites even with electricity. I haven't decided on a price yet as I just decided I will sell this. If you or anyone you know may be interested please let me know. On the upper Bad River, I have a special location that I'd like to share for others to enjoy. I was fortunate to acquire this land 20 years ago and now that I have retired from the United States Air Force, I can dedicate time to create peaceful campsites along the river. This land was originally railroad property as the railroad companies bought much land in the late 1800's to have options to place their railroads. There is still a railroad track nearby but it has been abandoned since 2015 and it makes a nice hiking path along the river for many miles to the north. There are 3 waterfalls nearby and I will have many signs leading to the waterfalls. There are 4 total campsites on the property, 1 site you can drive to (Eagle Pines), and 3 tent sites that require 1/8 mile hike to 2 sites, and a 1/4 mile hike to the other hike-in site.

This little chunk of land is a place that offers peace, solitude and an unplugging from life's hectic pace. Our 9 acre wooded lot is a quiet, secluded, woodsy retreat perched above the beautiful Chippewa River. The shallow river is perfect for wading, tubing or paddling. The undergrowth is a carpet of ferns & native plants. Birders will love this spot. We also encourage bringing your dog friends. We have several fire rings and encourage responsible campfire hangouts. *Please do not bring firewood. We provide dry wood & dead fall may be used for campfire, but ABSOLUTELY NO CUTTING from live trees, please. TENT site: Tent site is pretty basic-- it fits one large tent (12'x15') pad and has a fire ring, a cooking grate and picnic table. While it does not have electricity, there is an outlet on the property to charge phones, etc. BATHROOM: Our well maintained outhouse is a short walk from the tent site, and stays stocked with TP. It also has a solar light for night-time visits. CAMPERS/VANS: We have 30 Amp electric hookup available for small campers! Bring your pop-up or pull-behind. Intermediate trailer-backing skills are necessary to reach the camper site. *Summer /Fall '23 we began building our cabin and trailer access has changed a bit. Please inquire about camper use before booking. *We do not allow hunting, shooting or ATV riding on the property. Archery practice is Ok however. ** As we continue our A-Frame cabin build, you will see some construction clutter and cut trees. We will never be working during your stay, however - you'll have the place to yourself unless otherwise agreed upon. Feel free to view the cabin from the outside but please do not enter the structure.

We are renting out our gorgeous river property located on the Chippewa River in Exeland, WI!! Our 5-acre property is equipped with electricity and power pedestals for multiple campers, lots of space for outdoor games, a campfire area surrounded by string lights, and newly-constructed steps down to the river. There is a deep hole out in front of the property, great for swimming, and a landing across the river for putting in kayaks and fishing boats. Right off our river bank, we have caught muskys, catfish, smallmouth bass, and northern. We have four kayaks and two paddleboards included with the rental and firewood. There is also direct ATV and UTV access from County Highway Rd D to multiple trails heading towards the Blue Hills and endless trails heading to the UP. In 2024, we added a new gravel camper parking area that can accommodate 4 campers (30-amp hookups each), as well as (2) 30-amp hookups in the grassy part of the site. First RV is included in the rental, each additional rig is $50.

My husband and I work and live in Africa during the school year. We have 3 young boys and wanted them to be able to have a large place to explore and play, and learn to camp and enjoy nature. We purchased this cabin in 2021 from the original owners who built the home. We fell in love with the design of the cabin and the windows which allow great views of the river and wildlife. There is an Artesian well that is 200 feet deep in the granite ledge that the cabin sits on. Artesian wells are more common in sand and very uncommon in granite. This well provides some of the best water you’ll ever taste.The cabin has total privacy with no neighbors on either side. There are a couple cabins across the river and just north of the cabin that are visible when at the river's edge.The total acreage is approximately 6.5 with 300 feet of river frontage. The cabin is set back from the river, yet maintains a view of the river. At the river’s edge there is a picnic area deck with table and chairs.The land is wooded with a mix of small pine, some large pine old growth and hardwood. There are walking paths throughout the wooded lot. There are no houses on either side of the lot. It is not uncommon to see a lot of wildlife. There are many deer, grouse, eagles that nest just up the river, and an occasional bear. The 6.5 acres that the cabin sits on abuts 1500 acres of undeveloped land.

Only 8 miles (14 min) from the beautiful Copper Falls State Park. You can drive your vehicle right up to the campsite. This campsite can accommodate average sized campers or 5-6 large tents. This campsite includes a fire ring for your use during your stay. There is deadwood around the property if you wish to forage for firewood, if not there is split wood sold locally. We have no light pollution up here so this is a great place to stargaze and view the Milky Way. This location is within the woods, there is no insect control program so please come prepared. Insect population depends upon recent rainfall and temperatures, and varies greatly. Come prepared with bug sprays and/or a fogger. As well as camping within the woods, there is wild animals. Use caution with your pets roaming and I do not recommend leaving food out. You are required to clean up after yourself and haul your sanitary waste with you when you leave. This campsite has no electric or sewer hookup. There is no shower house or bathroom at this location. I will set the refund policy for 100% up to 3 days prior to check in. Please do a check on the weather outlook at least 3 days before you arrive to see if the weather will be nice for at least part of your stay. If you cancel within 3 days before your arrival, I am sorry, but the system won't provide a refund. If you need to cancel, please cancel at least 3 days prior to your arrival date so you can be refunded, and others can have a better chance to schedule a stay.

We own a 39 acre property on the east side of Ashland, WI. There are three primitive/walk in (no water available, no facilities, no tables) campsites available and a couple of trails. More trails to come. Enjoy the night sky as many, many stars are visible. The property is mostly wooded and can be wet in spots during the spring. You are allowed walk the site off trail at your own risk. Please park your vehicle as close to one side of the driveway as possible as not to block the driveway so if needed the tower company has access to the tower. Please do not walk in the cleared area near the front of the property to the right of driveway/access road, as this area has been planted with Christmas tree saplings. There is a dedicated campfire square in the site. Please do not burn outside of this area. There is plenty of dead and down firewood to collect in the nearby woods – some may need to cut to size. There are no garbage cans on site, so please pack out what you pack in. Hike to the sites: Campsite 1 – Near County Highway A – just past gate. Large enough for two 4 person tents Campsite 2 – From gate - .10 mile hike – large enough for a 4 person tent Campsite 3 – From gate - .13 mile hike – large enough for a 3 person tent What is nearby? A small rustic cabin with a two bed loft in the woods of northwestern Wisconsin. (We try to maintain a quiet setting). Snow conditions are ideal for snowmobile riding and skiing. We are on a snowmobile trail that connects to hundreds of miles of trails. There are several lakes within a few minutes drive including Wisconsin's premiere walleye lake ( Long Lake) . Miles of wilderness walking and atv trails as well. Fishing is great and I’ll act as your guide for a small day fee. I’ll clean and cook your fish as well. The cabin has a clean outdoor privy and a sink with bottled water but no plumbing. There is a kitchen area with mini fridge, stove and a sink It sits on 40 acres. The cabin shares the same yard space with our primary residence. With that in mind we ask that loud music and loud partying be done elsewhere.
