There are plenty of day walks starting right next to your camp or you can go for a swim in the nearby King Parrot Creek. With just 40min drive to Yarra Valley Wineries you are in a perfect location to set up camp and explore the region. Our pet friendly property is located in a quiet neighbourhood, easily accessible from the road (no 4WD needed) and ideal for swags, tents or campers. Power, tank water, bins and compost toilet are included! The space is part of our front yard and our property is located at the end of a quiet no through road. Your camp site is tucked in between the trees away from our family house with plenty of flat space.     Steve is super friendly and helpful. He met us at the gate at 8pm after we'd come off the Spirit of Tasmania and got us settled and had a lovely chat. The site is a 1 acre block on the edge of Geelong only about 20 minutes from the ferry. It's nice and flat and easily accessible for overnighters like we were but also has longer term visitors for weeks (or a family we met there had been using it as base for a couple of months! Our dogs also got the treat of being able to play off lead with Steve's dog and another guest's dog as the property is fully fenced and, as long as all the doggos are getting on and being supervised, it's fairly relaxed. I'd recommend this as a great overnighter befor or after the ferry but also as a base to explore Geelong.

    Great spot for the night. Steve was super helpful (we needed to wash out van and ended up having a few maintenance issues - he was very kind and helpful lending us a ladder, setting up a hose etc). Peaceful, quiet. Would definitely stay again.

    Steve is a fantastic host and was so accommodating! We really enjoyed our stay and his company, as well as the other campers on site. Beautiful pool and his dog Milo was an absolute gem. Would definitely make the trek over from Canada again just to come back here! 10/10

    Clara and Caleb’s camp site was a perfect spot for us. They are so lovely too. They lent us the extension lead as we forgot to grab ours. Clara’s sourdough was delicious! There’s plenty shade. The Eco toilet was spotless. It’s very easy to find. We enjoyed the little walk in the Kinglake National Park that’s next to the property.

The campsite is private, with beautiful natural surroundings, making it a great spot to unwind. The hosts are friendly and communicative, ensuring visitors feel welcome. Future Hipcampers can expect a quiet retreat with scenic views, a great spot for stargazing, and a relaxing outdoor experience.

Lonsdale, Portalington, Geelong. Our little piece of Nirvana is suitable for tents, caravans, RVs, or we can supply or our Unique Silver Bullet 27ft 1972 Airstream. We have a fully functioning toilet, can run power to your camp (no shower facility). We have an inground trampoline, half court basketball/netball court. Our small inground pool, camp kitchen (with hotwater, kitchen sink, fridge, pool table, lounge and tv), BBQ, Fire pit are avaliable by agreement at extra costs. Our acerage can cater for small groups of up to 15 people, your van/tent/RV or ours. Pets allowed by agreement and must be on lead at all times. We have free range geese, chooks and a friendly staffy. There is no need for an alarm clock our Roosters have that covered.
