Ridgetop views evoke stillness and quiet to enjoy the abundant nature, from lyre birds, black cockatoos, wallabies, wombats, goannas as well as many different bird species depending on the season. Whilst the property is 100 acres, we also border Yengo State Forrest so if you're experienced hikers you can tramp until your hearts content without needing permission to cross private properties. The bushfire regrowth is dense and difficult to travers. so I have cut in a loop walk to a rock ledge lookout (see pics) plus 4km return walk to dry creek bed; with caves, pancake rock platforms, and beautiful old trees. Ideal for those who wish to immerse themselves in pristine nature while being only 1.5 hrs from Newcastle or Wahroonga (start of M1) There are 2 camping pads so if you are a group you can spread out but I want it to be private for each group I host, so if you are only 2 people there won't be any other campers We live simply in a Yurt on solar and rain water, apart from us, you will be the only campers so you are able to enjoy the quiet all to yourselves. (See pic 4 to see distance yurt is from camping pad). Have a 7 mth old Border Collie Cross and training her to be well socialised around other dogs. If you are looking for a party, this is not the place for you. It's the place for stargazers and nature lovers. In the evenings, you won't hear us nor my neighbours so it's only fair that my neighbours don't hear you. No loud music allowed, being a ridge the noise travels and it scares away the wildlife. We're 15mins on dirt tracks from Wollombi village. 2WD vehicle needs high clearance and dry tracks, so check with me first. 4WD and AWD preferable. Dogs love roaming around off leash, if yours is good with recall, as there's no fencing. Children under 5yrs no charge. You may use our composting loo or bring your own camping loo. (see pic 5 and 6) Please be aware only firepit/cooking fire is allowed from 1st October to 31st March. Firepit provided (see pic 7 ) Open bonfires allowed from 1st April to 30th Sept, as per state rules. Regardless of season all fires are Bushfire Rating Dependant. Cut firewood to fit firepit can be purchased, please let me know in advance. Alternatively you can roam around and collect what has fallen on the ground.

Little river is surrounded by pristine bush land with spectacular views of the escarpment . It suits groups for gathering ,parties , weddings , family birthdays or friends get together. Hi and welcome to Vista 180. Vista 180 is our little property situated on the outskirts of town, with 180-degree rural farmland vistas from East to West, that overlooks the Hunter River nearby. If you're looking for somewhere in a rural setting that has flat to very gently sloping grass paddock areas to set up your tent, camper, caravan or motorhome then this is the place to stay. Our paddock has easy access for vehicles large or small, 2wd or 4wd, with all the conveniences offered in town nearby. Gaze over the farmlands, watch glorious sunrises, sunsets and checkout the stars! Located at Aberglasslyn, being on the outskirts of town without streetlights, it feels like you're miles away whereas we're only just over the hill from a shopping centre with a Chemist, Supermarket, Doctor, Vet and Café. A few minutes gets you into Maitland, 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley Vineyards at Lovedale/Pokolbin, 1hr to Newcastle, Nelson Bay and many of the glorious beaches on the east coast. We are within the catchment area for courtesy buses to the local hotels and bowling club. The vineyard concert (Day On The Green, Red Hot Summer etc) buses pickup from one of these hotels. You can access the Hunter River (approx 200m) for fishing, swimming or explore the river by kayaking the 11km into Maitland or the 21km downstream from Luskintyre. Pickup/delivery could be arranged with notice. Ride a pushbike along the backroads exploring the area, following on the bike paths, Walka Waterworks, historical buildings and points of interest in Maitland. It’s an easy 15 minute walk down the lane or back into the shopping centre. Whilst we welcome your pets, we ask that they are on a leash as there is cattle, sheep, horses, chooks and birdlife around us. Please pickup after them! Your own toilet is a necessity. Campfires (when conditions permit) are to be in the provided firepits. Garbage and Recycle bins are provided. (In Cooranbong ) Some of our camp sites have access to three eco toilets and only one shared shower, rubbish facilities and drinking water. (Campfires) we have 5 fire pits on some of our sites , fires are permitted during the winter months. We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp. Located at Bilpin, this beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park! There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and one in the forest (If you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :) PLEASE ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property. The land is a nature retreat and developing animal rescue sanctuary so we love to share the space with respectful nature loving people :) Our motto is leave no trace. We look forward to welcoming you to our unique and magical slice of paradise! 🪵 IMPORTANT : Only use rock circles for fire. Fire must be put out if you 1) Leave the site each day 2) Each night before bed and 3) When you leave completely. IF THIS IS NOT DONE AND THE FIRE BRIGADE IS CALLED 'YOU ARE' RESPONSIBLE FOR THE 10K PLUS FINE. Neighbours have and will call the fire brigade if they see smoke. This is a strict policy due to being in a National Park and to protect the precious nature and wildlife. Two buckets of water are supplied for this purpose. Sticks in the buckets for animals to safely exit if they fall in. Whats App us with plenty of notice if you need more water. If it is hot weather or windy there may be a TOTAL FIRE ban. We will keep you posted and please be proactive and check online.

We are in the Kurrajong region, located 75 km from Sydney, to the west of the Hawkesbury River on the lower slopes of the Blue Mountains. ​ The region offers lots of great places to go bushwalking, mountain bike riding, canyoning and abseiling in the Blue Mountain and Wollemi National Parks or canoeing on the Hawkesbury or Grose River. Our camping offering is currently only available to those attending our courses. It is not available to the general public at this time. We invite course attendees to camp, check out the farm and connect with nature during your stay. The campsite has a flush toilet and hot shower. We allow campfires but they must only be lit in the designated areas.
