This 10 acre property is located on the coastal ridge, often above the fog. You will be on the Pacific plate looking across to the North American plate, looking down on the San Andreas fault! Near artsy, coastal towns. Wonderful location for relaxing after a day of hiking and exploring beaches and forests.. In the winter months, it can provide a peaceful retreat and often dramatic storm watching. Peaceful, security-gated property with a campsite for RV's/tent camping for maximum of 6, and the charming Pickle Barrel cabin for 2 is available. You can book either one or both. Either way, you will have the entire site for your stay. Outside wood campfires are allowed unless there is a fire ban, propane fire pits are allowed year round. Hot showers are available 15 minutes away with purchase of a day pass and quarters. The owners and their dog live on site about 50 yards away. You may see us doing our walks. Centrally located. 10 minutes from beaches, rivers, state parks, Stornetta Lands National Monument, and towns, i.e., Gualala, Point Arena, or Anchor Bay.

The Pickle Barrel Cabin

This cabin is super cozy and has everything you need for a fun getaway. There are plenty of activities to keep you entertained, and there are also some great restaurants nearby. The property is private and feels really safe, and the host was super friendly and helpful.

We loved this cozy lil cabin and would definitely visit again! There's lot of fun restaurants and shops to visit near by and though we couldn't enjoy the hiking options on this trip, seems like there is plenty around!

The Pickle Barrel Cabin

We stayed at the Pickle Barrel for two nights and wished we could’ve stayed longer. I highly recommend staying at G’s place. The site itself is beautiful and serene, and bathroom/outhouse is so clean and the Pickle Barrel is cozy and comfortable. All communication with G was great. 10/10, we will definitely be coming back!

Pickle Barrel Campsite

Absolutely beautiful site! G was responsive and accommodating, the compost toilet was the nicest non-flush toilet I've used, and the site was quiet and safe. The only thing is the rig size. The listing says under 25', but mine is 21' and honestly I couldn't fathom making bigger work. I'm quite experienced and have gotten mine into and out of some tight spaces, but this was one of the few times in our trip where my passenger had to get out and help me. But if you're in a standard size vehicle this camp is sublime!

The Pickle Barrel Cabin

Greatly enjoyed our quaint stay at the Pickle Cabin. Simple respite, tucked away in a quiet corner of the forest. Cool experience to stay in a unique structure. Wifi was good, located not too far from town. We stayed during a cold and rainy weekend in mid Feb, very thankful for the radiator. Road there was very safe and well-paved. Should not arrive after dusk, but if possible, signage on the property to diff campsite for late-arrivals would’ve helped ease our minds.
