Carrizo Sunrise
This was not my cup of tea (an older female traveling alone) but it could be fun for a group looking for wide open space to camp. I came in at night and even with the gps coordinates I missed the entrance. The outhouse was a large trash can under a plank with a hole to sit on - and it was quite full. Fortunately I travel self-contained.
That said, the wildflowers in Carrizo Plain are magnificent and worth the visit

Staycation
An amazingly beautiful place! We live in the county and plan on coming back often. Perfect for primitive camping. Excellent time of year for the flowers. Well worth coming out for this!

Carrizo Sunset
What a beautiful camping site! We were surrounded by wildflowers and green hills in the distance. The firepit was large enough for our group of 10 people. There was plenty of space for 4 tents. We did catch a storm for a part of our trip so the campsite got really muddy. We got unlucky with the weather (forecast didn’t warn us about it) but it’s was still fun!

Great Remote Site
Basically camping in the middle of the super bloom, very beautiful scenery. Great views of the stars at night too

Carrizo Eclipse
Easy to find. Easy to park my 5th wheel. Close to seven mile road, but only 3 cars went by all night so it was not an issue. The camp was covered in wild flowers. Bortle 3 light pollution for all you astrophotographers out there. The host came out and said hello when we arrived. Very nice guy. Just fuel up on your way to the spot- it's very remote. But that is just what we wanted!

Camping with self.
Loved the quiet and the scenery. Even though this was a solo trip it was still worth the stars and campfire for some much needed alone time.
