Mystic Forest is a small, family-run campground between Klamath, CA, and Crescent City. We have 50 acres of beautiful forest sprinkled with redwood trees. We have restrooms, showers, laundry facility, a game room, a mini golf course, horseshoes, and a half-mile trail. We are pet-friendly. At the office you can find some grocery and redwoods souvenirs.
Overall, the campsite offers a welcoming and private experience amidst beautiful nature. Many guests appreciated the secluded tent spots and the warm hospitality from Patrick and the staff, who often went out of their way to assist campers. The amenities, including clean showers and bathrooms, were frequently highlighted, although some noted minor road noise and the occasional barking dog. Despite these small nuisances, the majority of campers expressed eagerness to return, enamored by the serene environment and excellent service.
Although Patrick was out of town, he was very communicative! When I arrived, I met the manager, Carolyn, who was so sweet and gave me the keys to the restrooms/laundry. I was the only tent camper on the property, so my site was secluded and private. A bit of road noise and dogs barking, but it was no big deal. The warm shower and short trail around the property were a real treat!
This was an amazing place to stay, all the needed equipment and materials for an easy get away. You just need to bring food and clothing the rest is provided. My family and I had an incredible experience. Reasonably priced and excellent service and hospitality. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to travel and have a comfortable place to sleep and relax after a great day of activities.
I loved this campsite! We went during off season in October- we were the ONLY tent campers! We had the place to ourselves and it was very peaceful. Each campsite was secluded enough where you can’t see other sites, so if you’re like us and need the privacy while camping, this is it. #22 was the best spot at the very end! Hosts were very kind and generous, helped us with site seeing and even gave us a map full of so much information. Thanks to them, we saw fern canyon and it was amazing. 100/10!!
We arrived somewhat late but Patrick was up and checked us in smoothly. His hospitality is amazing and I haven’t seen much like it anywhere else. He hand delivered us wood and when we were out he ran around trying to find us something so that we could have a little fire. The campsite was clean and in a perfect little area. That bathrooms were nice and clean and really close to our site. There are some amazing attractions just right down the street so it’s in a perfect little area. There is wood, ice, a gift shop, and a little cafe all in the campground so everything you need is right there. I am for sure coming back and staying at this campground due to the good people and how amazing our stay was.
Hosts at this campground are the kind of nice that makes me want make to make this a regular visiting stop just to get to know them better. But also the amenities satisfy, including a clean, warm shower, some very secluded tent sites, and lots of fun things to do for young kids and kids of any age.
