Calico Camp is a lovely, shady spot on private property about 2 miles from Calico Rock Main Street and the White River. Rich in history and great fishing. Bring your boat and kayak. Or, you can rent one in town. There are fishing guides available, too. I moved here in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. I actually lived in an RV in a beautiful park for several years there. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own. I work at the Calico Rock Museum and invite you to visit us. We have a wonderful Heritage Center and a gallery/gift shop with works of art created by local artisans. About 2 miles from the White River and Main Street Calico Rock. Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn. You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that. There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas. The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.) The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE. If you are camping to be close to nearby attractions or don't mind a muddy, flooded river I can let you camp on higher ground. Not quite as private but still lots of room. Fish, Fish, Fish. This river is primed for fishing. You will have to bring your own boat, or float as I don't have good river bank fishing access. I added a small floating dock last year to fish or swim off of. There is a state park boat ramp a short distance away. The steps in the photos are plenty sturdy to tie boats to overnight. This river is fishable with flat bottom jet drive boats most of the spring and early summer and floatable year round. You can float to your campsite and relax instead of waiting in line at the boat ramp. Also we are located about 13 miles from Crane Creek, A blue ribbon trout park. You can camp here and fish there.

Spoke N’ Tru

This remote primitive campground is between Kingston and Compton, Arkansas. in the Boston Mountains of the Ozark plateau. The wooded 14 acres is nestled just above a scenic bluff looking south. You can set your tent on our grassy knoll or find a random spot anywhere under our hardwoods or pines. There is one designated gravel site pad for a mid size trailer. The only roads to Spoken N’ Tru are gravel. I highly recommend taking the shortest gravel route from Kingston. This particular gravel road is 6 miles. If you are pulling a camper this is definitely the best. There is another longer 8 mile option from 412 - south from Dryfork in between Huntsville and Harrison. Please keep in mind that Spoke N’ Tru is a cozy but primitive camping site with no amenities so be ready to check your electronics before heading down our gravel roads. Lastly, please read amenity notes, especially regarding waste.

Edgewater Beach Resort is a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. There are 2 RV sites at Edgewater that are located just a few feet from the water's edge. Lake Taneycomo is a cold- water lake that is famous for trout fishing. The resort has 3 docks that you can fish off of. You can also fish anywhere along the water's edge. Each RV site has water, sewer, and electric hookups, wifi, a private picnic table, and a private firepit/ grill. The sites are separated by a privacy fence for the utmost privacy. The resort has boat rentals, a fish cleaning station, an outdoor pool that is open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend, a playground, and a laundry room. I also have boat slips available to rent for $20 a night. The resort is next to Empire Park which has lots of fishing spots, a playground, a disc golf course, and walking trails. The resort is 16 miles from The Branson Landing. You can get there by car or boat. Ask me about adding a boat slip to your reservation or about getting a discount for a long-term stay. Handmade modern rustic off grid glamping cabin. Sits down in the valley overlooking a small creek. Located between America's First National River, the Buffalo River and the most unique town in the Ozarks, Eureka Springs, AR. Just 6 miles to the Kings River. Surrounded by hiking, mountain biking, floating, fishing and hunting. Built with an emphasis on using locally milled rough sawn timber, reclaimed materials and handmade details throughout. This is an off-grid glamping cabin. The parking area is just down the hill from the cabin. It's a short walk up to the cabin, you will need to across the foot bridge over the creek and up a few steps to the cabin. The terrain on the property could be muddy or loose at times. Always watch your footing. There is no running water, but there is an 8-gallon jug over the sink for drinking and washing. Extra water available for longer stays. Composting toilet outhouse behind the cabin. Compost toilet bucket is cleaned out after every guest. Propane hot water shower is only available in the warmer months (usually April through October). The cabin is powered by a small solar panel setup. Please do not plug in any personal devices. They could damage the electrical system or overwork it. USB charging dock for phones, laptops, etc. Good cell service with most providers. Basic LED lighting. Direct vent propane heater. Full size memory foam mattress with plenty of warm blankets. There is a two-burner propane cooktop and mini fridge. Bowls, plates, cups and silverware for two guests. Basic food prep items are also available. Round 2-person dining table looking out the big picture window. The creek will be running when there is sufficient rainfall. Guests have access to the designated trails. Please be aware that along with all the wonders of wildlife, there may also be, ticks, mosquitoes, deer flies, snakes and other not so nice wildlife. Sit back and relax while you watch nature, beautiful sunrises, sunsets and stargaze at the beautiful night sky.
