Sunny Dawn Acres was originally homesteaded by the James Oliver Family and consisted of over 3000 acres and was called Revilo Ranch. They had a pig farm and later raised and trained 5-gaited Tennessee Walking Horses. Later it was used as a boy scout camp. Today five family live in the valleys and hills of the original Revilo Ranch. This was such a great little spot! Definitely exceeded our expectations. The hosts were so kind to stay up for us to make sure we got there safe when we were late getting in. I can’t wait to come back!
This land is absolutely gorgeous, and the hospitality shown to us by Dana and her husband was unmatched. These are genuine people sharing their little piece of heaven with anyone who wants to stay there. I don't have a single negative thing to say about our stay here. We will definitely be coming back!
This is a little slice of heaven! We ended up switching campsites to #5. We just stumbled apon it and liked it better. This time of year it was next to a dry creek bed. So peaceful and plenty of hammock trees. Dana is super nice and accommodating. She even helped us move our gear to the other site. The swimming holes had plenty of water being spring fed and were so refreshing and beautiful.
This is a nice private spot near a creek and waterfall. It was quiet and away from most anyone else. The spot was full sun but we moved to nearby shade during the day. The host lives nearby but did not disturb us. Bring a table, toilet and shade for this spot.
