Barn On The Buffalo Campground
Beautiful, quiet and secluded
A beautiful location, tucked away in the mountains of arkansas. We arrived at night and we’re not able to see the beauty of the campground until the next morning. What a treat! We woke to a gorgeous sunrise and the beautiful clear and cold Buffalo river down a bank. There is a hammoc and swing and already a fire pit established. There is also well water available (it was amazing and cold) and hot showers and bathroom. I believe it could get busier during summer season but we prefer to camp with our dogs in the fall. The property was clean and so beautiful. It looks like they’re building a barn or event venue on it, but as of our trip it was so quiet and secluded. We have one difficult dog and don’t like being in busy places because of how much she barks. The river is very low right now and just in the edge of the property there is a rocky river area. We brought our dogs out to take photos and it truly looked like a fairytale with the changing fall colors. The best stay we’ve had so far!

Barn On The Buffalo Campground
We accidentally booked the wrong dates and arrived a week early. We were still welcomed and had no issues showing up and getting settled in for the night.

Amazing host! The land owners dog “Rhode” spent everyday with us swimming and fishing, she was the most un-bothersome dog I’ve ever seen lol. The bathrooms and showers were an unexpected addition. Real flushing toilets and a hot shower was awesome after a day of swimming.
