This remote primitive campground is between Kingston and Compton, Arkansas. in the Ozark Mountains of the Boston plateau. The wooded 15 acres is nestled just above a scenic bluff looking south. You can set your tent on our grassy knoll or find a random spot anywhere under our hardwoods or pines. There is one designated gravel site pad for a mid size trailer. The only roads to Spoken N’ Tru are gravel. I highly recommend taking the gravel route from Kingston. This particular gravel road is 5 miles. If you are pulling a camper this is definitely the best. There is another longer 8 mile option from 412 - south from Dryfork in between Marble and Ozark. The shortest route if from 103 but it has a deep creek crossing and don't recommended unless you have a good 4 wheel vehicle. The best road to Ponca is County Road 1300 which takes you to Highway 43. Please keep in mind that Spoke N’ Tru is a cozy but primitive camping site with no amenities so be ready to check your electronics before heading down our gravel roads. Lastly, please read amenity notes, especially regarding waste. This remote primitive campground is between Compton & Kingston, Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains and region of the Boston Plateau. Beautiful morninggg
Tent · With kids
Just the ride alone out to the camping spot was an awesome adventure with beautiful views! The bluff was so fun to hang out on. The early morning sun on the bluff was magnificent. The kids really enjoyed exploring the property. My son lost his knife if anyone finds it let me know! 😁. Will definitely be coming back when spring is in full bloom! Would absolutely recommend this spot!

Gorgeous site!
Tent · Group trip
What an absolutely gorgeous site! Plenty of room for all of our tents and we had enough wood for a chilly night. I can’t get over the bluff and the fact that there is a fire pit on it made it that much better. It’s pretty easy to get down underneath the bluff too and maybe find a small bonus waterfall! I’m booking another stay there for the fall because it will be amazing!

One of my favorite places to tent camp using Hipcamp. The view is unbeatable and to have something like it to yourself is rare.

Perfect bikepacking escape!
Tent · Group trip
An excellent spot with a great bluff overlook. Host is exceptionally accepting of cyclists and bikepackers which is awesome! Not much here but definitely thought out with including a flat wooden tent pad, a couple of fire pits, and accessible fire wood at no extra cost.

It's like camping on Hawksbill Crag
Tent · With kids
I am hesitant to write this because I don't want it to become popular lol. This place is absolutely stunning. The road is totally fine for any vehicle if you come in from Kingston. The route from Ponca was a rougher but not terrible. My kids did great being safe with the cliff, but I would never bring small children here.
