Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. No antisocial behavior. No camping on creek banks. No playing around toilet block area. No livestock to be kept on the park. No cutting down trees. No person to travel in the load area of vehicles. No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between your campsite and the road. No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones or fireworks allowed in the park. No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek. No washing dishes or clothing in creek. No hitting of Golf balls. No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok). No swings to be tied to trees. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. PLEASE if booking individually but you intend to join a larger group please message me on hipcamp after you have booked telling me the names of people you would like to camp with so I can allocate a space large enough to fit you all. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we haveguest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Take it home or dispose at dump point at Woodford Showgrounds We provide unpowered Bush camping, and we try to keep the camp sites as natural as possible, no flat pads. There is lots of space for the kids to run or take the dog for a walk on the lead. If you are organising a celebration (eg wedding/birthday) please send an enquiry first so we can discuss your needs. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. (We live onsite) please also note we abide by noise restrictions and we do not allow amplified music and noise needs to be kept to a minimum after 10pm. We will allow up to 120 people onsite cost $7500. These prices include early entry Friday from 10am and late departure Sunday by 4pm. Extra accommodation available at extra cost. There is plenty of water for swimming and kayaking.All vehicle access. Entry from 12.00pm, Early arrivals incur a fee of $5per person includes Children and providing there is space available. Please let us know if you are entering after 8am and prior to 12.00pm. Early entry from 8am is dependent on availability and not available on a Sunday. Early entry is from 8am and can be paid at reception at a rate of $5 per person inclusive of children between 2 - 16. Children are considered ages 2 - 16years Please disregard Hipcamp's 13 and above policy for adults. If you have a child aged between 2 - 16 years please book the childrens' rate. Please do not follow hipcamp directions as they can take you into state forest. Please use Cove Road or Old Cove road as a pin then work off the address after confirmation from these spots. We have a great supply of locally sourced firewood, $20 per bag 20kg-25kg and we strongly discourage wood brought on from other areas due to biosecurity concerns. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Please come to our reception building on the way in, as we need to check everybody in, visitors to your camp site need to sign in and pay a day fee. We are then able to answer any questions you may have and further cement our rules. Day visitors to your campsite will incur a $10 per person fee and is time restrictive. STRICTLY NO DRONES ALLOWED ALSO WE DO NOT ALLOW DRIVING AROUND CAMPSITES OR PROPERTY (Safety concerns) Once your camp is set up you can park your vehicle at your site. You are welcome to drive out of the campsite to town and back but strictly no joyriding around our property. Be sure to book early as we are gaining popularity with limited bookings available. Camps are spaced out along a manicured 300m creek frontage. There is a total of 1km creek frontage on Yabba Creek Farm for your to explore. Attractions include kayaking - provided and are free to use, hiking in adjacent Imbil state forest and wildlife watching. Platypus are frequently sighted in the Yabba creek. Lungfish can also be viewed while kayaking or snorkelling. Koalas, wallabies, gonnas and an abundance of bird life are also commonly sighted. Dogs are welcome on very strict conditions as we have farm animals including, chickens, horses and a turkey, so must remain secure on a leash at all times. Dogs with hunting or chasing nature are not welcome for the safety of our animals and wildlife. Porta toilet available. BYO if you wish to camp further away from main area. Second hire toilet during peak season. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice, firewood and kindling for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. If you are looking for clothing optional camping we fully welcome this, however we need to know prior to booking clothing optional so we can check on our availability to accommodate you. We support you however we cannot always accommodate you due to other bookings. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. The 4 Camping areas are: * RIVERSIDE.. 10 level camping sites are available, suitable for single campers, or family groups, right beside the Condamine River * RIVERCAMP another area of mostley level dispersed sites are avialable in close proximatiy to the River, scattered around the trees, and the Dam, but still having direct access to an open section of the river bank, for swimmimg, fishing or Kayaking * MIDCAMP.. 7 level sites approximatly 200 meters up from the Comdamine River, and overlooking (and access to) the rivercamp, surrounded by mature "Iron Bark" trees and grassland, Plus several more dispersed sites, suitable for all types of camping from Vans to Tents. This area also includes a small number of powered sites * TOP CAMP.. This open area is approximately another 150 metres up the hill from from midcamp, overlooking both Mid & Rivercamps, with 360deg views, has 3 large flat sites. plus many more dispersed sites, also suitable for all types of camping vehicles *Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own. *Showers and toilets are situated within easy walking distance at all camp sites *Lots to see and experience in nearby Warwick and the Granite Belt. Hold it Flats is a 120 acre property that borders the beautiful O'Connell River that has water all year round. Take a walk around the property to check out some of the creatures that have been built out of scrap metal and bush bars that have been built all around the property. There is nice shady trees, green grass and flat camping sites right beside the river with hot showers and flushing toilets. There is plenty of room and some great tracks for the kids and the big kids to ride their push bikes on. The swimming hole is about 2 meters deep and has big shady trees on the edge. There is also enough room for kids to bring their kayaks and have a paddle along the river. We have some hiking tracks up around the hills of our property that have amazing views of the area. All campsites can be provided with their own fire pit. You just pick your spot and we will bring a portable fire pit to you. Fire wood can be purchased at the property. All rubbish must be taken when you, there are no rubbish bins provided.

Hi Everyone and Welcome to our home and a very special property called Platypus Bush Camp. The property has been operating as a bushcamp / rainforest retreat for 40 years and from what we hear regularly it is one of Australia's most unique campsites and it feels nice too :) The bushcamp feels like you are going back in time and has a hint of Asia / South America with the building style and nature but you are in the Aussie rainforest / bush and then we trow in some country hospitality and humour so we can all enjoy our time. There are 4 creeks that flow all year into an absolutely stunning swimming hole that is the largest and deepest in Finch Hatton Gorge. We are off grid but with all the modern amenities like flushing toilets, stunning hot showers with rainforest views (if you like), large fully equipped camp kitchens with everything you need, there is even a pizza oven and usb charging ports and you can see and hear the water from the kitchens and the dining areas. Accomodation options include:  - 10 unpowered sites available which suit a variety of set ups including sites with your own private deck looking over the creek, shaded sites and sites with sun for solar - please refer to each site description for specific site size and photos. - 6 unpowered tent sites in our grassed where the main fire pit is located - no vehicles are permitted on the grassed area but parking is close by. - 3 private creekside huts / tree houses with stunning views, comfortable beds and bedding. Pets are welcome - as long as they are well behaved and owners clean up after them. There is a central fire pit with seating and cooking plate and an undercover fireplace / dining room as well if there is any rain or bring your own fire pit and use at your site. The property is located in the Pioneer Valley just outside Mackay, Queensland. We are 2 kilometres from the breathtaking Finch Hatton Gorge in the Eungella National Park. Just 1 hour drive from Mackay and 2 hours from Airlie Beach and the drive here is beautiful too. Two or three nights is a good amount of time to be able to explore the area including Eungella National Park, Finch Hatton Gorge (Araluen Cascades & Wheel of Fire) while still having time to relax at the Bushcamp.
