It's suited to those with 4x4 or higher clearance vehicles, and off-road campers/caravans and tents. The camping sites here are very private, and provide large flat areas to set up. All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. From morning light accompanied by birdsong, to days spent exploring the creek and the bush, to stargazing and toasting marshmallows by night, the land here offers the perfect antidote to modern-day stresses. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Two of our campsites have very basic outback long drop toilets (Wombat Flat and Creek Site), but for all other sites, campers need to be fully self-contained. It's you and nature. Therefore we ask that you please ensure the place is left as or better than you found it. All rubbish and waste to be taken with you. Important Information to know before booking: ALL GUESTS/VISITORS MUST BE BOOKED IN BEFORE ENTERING OUR PROPERTY Plenty of fallen timber around you are welcome to collect for firewood, however, strictly no chainsaws or cutting down of trees. For your own comfort, you could take your first day of wood, so you’re ready to have a fire once all set up. And strictly no motorbikes, firearms, or rally driving on the property. Our property is located in the town of Fountain, 24kms from Port Lincoln. We are a hobby farm that is set amongst the gum trees and have large spacious sites for you to relax and enjoy. On a clear night, the stars are amazing. We are only a 15 minutes drive from Coffin Bay and its fresh seafood, stunning beaches, fishing and water activities. There are National Parks within easy reach where you can enjoy 4Wdriving, hiking and swimming. Guests are welcome to bring their horses with them for the duration of their stay. Please contact the host beforehand if you would like to bring your horse so we can prepare. We have great horse facilities, including a large sand arena, round yard, yards and places to ride, including a beautiful beach not far from here. Those who would like to come to relax and enjoy peace and serenity are also very welcome. We have a communal fire pit available to use outside of fire restrictions and other pets are also welcome. Campers must be fully self-sufficient with their own camp toilet and must take all waste with them on departure.

The guests will have access to the beautiful garden area with all BBQ facilities, (please note there is no oven or stove in the shack) small back yard for your furry friends, pets allowed inside, also a short walk down to your very own riverbank about 200 meters which has a campfire and bbq plate for cooking, speedboats welcome and canoe hire. We also have two mini ponies Boo and Lady. It was a great experience for us at Woodland Scrub. We were on the road trip from Sydney to Adelaide and on the day 4. There was no internet connection, no view of nature but trees and red sand on the ground. But we liked this property was private and quiet. This campsite is a great spot for camper who spend time with someone who you love. Doing campfire is available. Loved this place.

Nice place to stay! For the pricing you really cannot beat it, creek was completely dry I had stayed at worlds end 2 months prior and it was no where near as dry ao was somewhat surprising. Very secluded camp site, with plenty of nice flat ground to set-up, did alot of walking along the creek bed with my dog. Landscape had some really cool spots! Pete and Trish provided plenty of clear instructions to find the property and my camp site! The track into the property was pretty rough in some spots so certainly listen when they advise 4x4 or High clearance vehicles; my little T31 X-trail made it through no dramas just careful around parts with heavy washout. Will certainly be back again in cooler weather as the UV was pretty full on during the day; would love to see the property in wet season! Less than 2 hours from Adelaide its perfect for a 2 night stay or even a overnighter! Highly recommended giving it a go! 😀 Thanks Trish & Peter!

Directions and communication with Trish and Peter were great. No dramas finding the site (creek camp). Site was clean, level and well set up with areas that were well sheltered from wind but was still open with good views of the surrounding bush and creek beds. We had a storm come through but it hardly had any effect on our comfort (we were in a tent). Plenty of land to explore and there are massive gums that must be hundreds of years old. Will certainly book again but during a period that we can have a fire although we both agreed that it wasn’t that important in this instance! Great place to relax and unwind!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay amongst the gums and wombat holes beside the dry creek. We were serenaded by a wide variety of birdlife including Rainbow Bee-eaters and Red-backed and Sacred Kingfishers. We would’ve loved to add a wombat to the list of sightings but unfortunately that wasn’t to be this time. Maybe next time as we will definitely be back. Trish was a delight to talk to and nothing was too much trouble for her.
