    Update: This property was just awarded 2nd place for 2024 as the 2nd best Hipcamp in Wisconsin out of 252 Hipcamp's based on reviews and ratings! Thank you to all who have enjoyed this amazing property and provided a review or rating!!! I am considering selling this property as it would be an amazing location for a secluded home on the river. There are no homes for over 1 mile upstream or for about 10 miles downstream so it could be a very special isolated location. There's a power line buried along the main road on the property so electricity is easily accessible. I would be selling the 40 acre parcel and another 11 acre parcel further downriver. One could also develop this to provide multiple building sites on the water or expand it to offer more campsites even with electricity. I haven't decided on a price yet as I just decided I will sell this. If you or anyone you know may be interested please let me know. On the upper Bad River, I have a special location that I'd like to share for others to enjoy. I was fortunate to acquire this land 20 years ago and now that I have retired from the United States Air Force, I can dedicate time to create peaceful campsites along the river. This land was originally railroad property as the railroad companies bought much land in the late 1800's to have options to place their railroads. There is still a railroad track nearby but it has been abandoned since 2015 and it makes a nice hiking path along the river for many miles to the north. There are 3 waterfalls nearby and I will have many signs leading to the waterfalls. There are 4 total campsites on the property, 1 site you can drive to (Eagle Pines), and 3 tent sites that require 1/8 mile hike to 2 sites, and a 1/4 mile hike to the other hike-in site.

    Escape to Superior Beach Camp and immerse yourself in the beauty and privacy of a cleared camping area situated above 500' feet of sand and pebble beach on the world’s greatest lake. Agate campsite is very generously sized and is all yours. Surrounded by a mix of poplar and birch with a few white pine sprinkled in, the main camp area is set back from the lake atop a 70' bluff with peekaboo views of Lake Superior. A short walk down a private path from your campsite gives you access to a beautiful Lake Superior beach to swim, skip rocks, search for agates, or just enjoy the panoramic views of the lake and the town of Duluth on the opposite shore. Agate campsite previously featured a "look out point" that has been altered by the natural erosion of the red clay banks that comprise much of Lake Superior's south shore. While you can still access this area, doing so will require more effort and care, and we no longer allow camping on the point. Superior Beach Camp located is 2.5 hours north of the Twin Cities and perfectly positions you to discover all the wonders of the Twin Ports. Explore this amazing area or stay at camp, set up your chair in the sand and take in the many moods of Mother Superior. Watch the ships come and go to the sparkly backdrop of Duluth’s city lights. The crackle of a driftwood fire on the beach provides the perfect soundtrack as you watch for shooting stars and the aurora. Stock up on supplies and explore the charming industrial town of Superior, WI – 15 minutes from your campsite. Spend a day mountain biking the Duluth Traverse and touring the the wonderful local dining and tap room scenes of Duluth and Superior. Canal Park, downtown Duluth, is a 25 minute drive. If you’d like to venture further, you could meander up the North Shore. Or keep it local and check out Bayfield and the Apostle Islands – only 75 minutes East. Stop through the charming lakeside village of Cornucopia on your way. Or perhaps you’d like to experience world class trout fishing on the Brule River a half hour from Superior Beach Camp. Maybe Parks are your thing: Amnicon Falls, one of Wisconsin’s most beautiful State Parks, is reachable in 10 minutes by car. Drive a half hour further to Pattison State Park and take in Wisconsin’s tallest waterfall. On the Minnesota side, the magic of Jay Cooke State Park is 30 minutes west (and puts you on the doorstep of legit white water rafting). Whether you're looking for solace and relaxation in a blissful [great] lakeside setting or simply seeking a convenient place to rest your head while exploring the many adventures a stone’s throw from your campsite, there is something for everyone who camps here. Superior Beach Camp is a clean, quiet, peaceful, primitive setting. We have a micro organic farm with hundreds of wild apple trees and believe in leaving the land better than we found it. Rob loves permaculture, managing soils, pruning apple trees and feeding his community nutrient dense food. I work as a hospice nurse and help out on the farm when I am able and we have 2 boys, Arlo and Owen. We keep busy! We offer 3 rustic rentals onsite, but each is very private and secluded.     This little chunk of land is a place that offers peace, solitude and an unplugging from life's hectic pace. Our 9 acre wooded lot is a quiet, secluded, woodsy retreat perched above the beautiful Chippewa River. The shallow river is perfect for wading, tubing or paddling. The undergrowth is a carpet of ferns & native plants. Birders will love this spot. We also encourage bringing your dog friends. We have several fire rings and encourage responsible campfire hangouts. *Please do not bring firewood. We provide dry wood & dead fall may be used for campfire, but ABSOLUTELY NO CUTTING from live trees, please. TENT site: Tent site is pretty basic-- it fits one large tent (12'x15') pad and has a fire ring, a cooking grate and picnic table. While it does not have electricity, there is an outlet on the property to charge phones, etc. BATHROOM: Our well maintained outhouse is a short walk from the tent site, and stays stocked with TP. It also has a solar light for night-time visits. CAMPERS/VANS: We have 30 Amp electric hookup available for small campers! Bring your pop-up or pull-behind. Intermediate trailer-backing skills are necessary to reach the camper site. *Summer /Fall '23 we began building our cabin and trailer access has changed a bit. Please inquire about camper use before booking. *We do not allow hunting, shooting or ATV riding on the property. Archery practice is Ok however. ** As we continue our A-Frame cabin build, you will see some construction clutter and cut trees. We will never be working during your stay, however - you'll have the place to yourself unless otherwise agreed upon. Feel free to view the cabin from the outside but please do not enter the structure.

    We are renting out our gorgeous river property located on the Chippewa River in Exeland, WI!! Our 5-acre property is equipped with electricity and power pedestals for multiple campers, lots of space for outdoor games, a campfire area surrounded by string lights, and newly-constructed steps down to the river. There is a deep hole out in front of the property, great for swimming, and a landing across the river for putting in kayaks and fishing boats. Right off our river bank, we have caught muskys, catfish, smallmouth bass, and northern. We have four kayaks and two paddleboards included with the rental and firewood. There is also direct ATV and UTV access from County Highway Rd D to multiple trails heading towards the Blue Hills and endless trails heading to the UP. In 2024, we added a new gravel camper parking area that can accommodate 4 campers (30-amp hookups each), as well as (2) 30-amp hookups in the grassy part of the site. First RV is included in the rental, each additional rig is $50.

    Welcome to our little retreat in the Northwoods of Wisconsin! We've got 24 acres of mostly Aspen Forest with oaks and maples. There's around 3km trails and a seasonal stream. We're located just 15 minutes from Lake Superior and Lake Nebagamon for fishing, swimming, and boating and 20 minutes from the twin ports of Superior and Duluth. Enjoy the touristy sites of the twin ports and then retreat to a quiet rural rustic campsite for a fire and conversation at the end of the day. Currently no hookups or outhouse on the property (hence the low price) but we're working to add more everyday!

    Experience upscale camping–Glamping in the Forested Hills of Lake Superior. Sailor Springs is a small three-site campground located just two miles outside of the picturesque tourist town of Bayfield, WI. 2023 will be our first year of operation and we’re excited to host campers on the property and provide a unique camping experience. The campground is spread out over 5 acres of forest that you’ll hike into from Bresette Hill Road. After parking at the trailhead, you’ll gather your bags and hike into your glamping site. The trail winds through the woods, leading you first to a valley where the seasonal Clark Creek runs through in the spring. The first two campsites are on the other side of this valley. The trail can be steep in spots and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility to reach the secluded campsites. The third site is a bit farther into the forest, the little A-frame cabin, Anchor sits on the edge of the spring-fed Brickyard Creek that flows year-round. We have many plans for the property and depending on when you stay, the campground will be in various stages of development. The campsites, trailhead / parking area, and trails are scheduled to be completed in early spring. We hope to add amenities such as a camp sauna and screened-in gazebo later in the 2024 summer / fall.
