There is a full size bed, but we do NOT provide linens or bedding so please bring your own. There is a blanket for chilly nights. It can get cold at night so please plan accordingly. There are lights and electricity in cabin, but please no space heaters or electric blankets. Please keep in mind this is a camping experience and while the cabin provides shelter, it is rustic. *Feel free to explore the garden/orchard/greenhouse area (through the small gate by the cabin), just be sure to close the gate behind you to keep the deer out. *As noted, there are an abundance of banana slugs during some times of the year. They are harmless and sometime a little too friendly. Feel free to gently relocate them from around the cabin if needed.

Ted and Emily's cabin offers a cozy retreat set amidst nature, ideal for those wanting a peaceful getaway. Guests rave about the warmth of the wood stove, the well-equipped outdoor kitchen, and the unique outdoor shower. The cabin's location provides a perfect balance of seclusion and convenience, being close to town yet surrounded by the tranquility of the woods. While overwhelmingly positive, a few guests note that the bed may be firm, and suggest bringing extra bedding during cooler months.

Awesome cabin! Very nice cozy ambiance, especially in the evening and at night. We enjoyed the cabin just as much as we enjoyed exploring the redwoods. Wood stove is great, holds heat and burns pretty slow once it gets going and is tamped down low.

Absolutely loved and enjoyed Ted and Emily’s place. The instructions to start the wood stove were spot on and helped me stayed cozy for the night. The outdoor kitchen had everything I needed to make a simple meal and the bathroom on the outside (attached to the cabin) was a nice touch too. I definitely recommend it to everyone looking for a place to stay while exploring the Redwoods.

Enchanting
Yes! This is the cabin you want to visit - I can only explain it by saying that it feels good there; you can tell it was made with intention and love. Ted and Emily provide everything you need to be comfy - outdoor kitchen area with the essentials, wood burning stove inside the cabin to keep warm and provide ambiance (firewood provided), and one of my fav things - an outdoor shower w/hot water. It rained during our stay, but we weren’t “stuck inside” the cabin because there’s an outside walkway/porch area that is covered which allowed us to still be outside. There’s a bistro set where you can sit to eat a meal, a chair with a foot rest inside to read and relax. There’s a hook to hang your coats and a bar to hang something like a wet towel. One “wall” is made from paneled windows and is able to open wide for an airy feel if that’s what you want. Honestly, I want to live there - I was sad when it was time to go. My husband who usually doesn’t care about the things I described, enjoyed it as much as I did and commented several times about how wonderful it is. The hosts were friendly and responsive all while giving us space and privacy. 20 out of 10, 10 stars out of 5, A ++.
