We are Kevin and Tammii. We moved to Mesa in 2019 to build our own “Field of Dreams”. In developing our property we added a Hip-Camp site to our vision. We’ve enjoyed hosting people from all around the country. We’re can accommodate guests for up to three weeks and unable to offer monthly rates. We welcome families with up to two children. Pets are welcome, two or less, and we have a designated pet area for their use. There are two nice sitting areas, a laundry shed with washer, dryer, and drying rack. Internet access is also available. More about the “Field of Dreams”: Our site has a paved level concrete pad with 50 amp service, water, and septic. RVs are required to come with empty holding tanks because of the septic system. We can accommodate up to 43 feet in length RVs. There is a nice landscaped patio area with table, chairs, umbrella, and a privacy screen. There is also a propane fire pit available. Our site is close to Costco, Starbucks, local restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and a mall. There is nearby mountain biking, hiking, and site seeing. We are 30 minutes from downtown Phoenix in a quiet residential area.

The RV pad is accessed via a 25 foot wide drive up to a 14 foot wide RV gate. Your vehicle will sit on level decomposed granite. Your RV pad is 80 feet long and 20 feet wide. Right outside our entrance going North on 80th Street you can hike over to the Grapevine Wash which is a short walk away from the Cave Creek Town Trail System for hiking and horseback riding, and if you’re adventurous you can hike up 2 miles of a 800’ climb on a gravel road/trails to “Mexican Hat” for an even more incredible view! We are a 30 amp full hook up (sewer, water & electrical) for 33’ RV’s and living quarters horse trailers. You will also have access to our community laundry area, with a large garbage can to dump a bag if needed. Some suggestions for town; Grab some quick delicous breakfast and coffee at Janey’s. Or American cuisine lunch at The Horny Toad, a Mexican cuisine dinner while watching the turtles in the pond at El Encanto! Ofrenda, right at the end of the road, also has great authentic Mexican cuisine. Many restaurants to choose from all within a short drive. Bashas, Safeway, Target, and Walmart and Sprouts are all within a 3-6 mile drive too! We have two turnout pens for horses. That are located right behind where you will park your trailer. They both have a cover that provides some shade, as well as running water. We do not provide any feed, so please make sure you bring some! We ask that you please do not feed any horses that do not belong to you. Or go into any pen that your horse is not in. For safety and respect :) Thank you in advance. We absolutely loved our stay at Sherry’s! They had the gate open and greeted us as soon as we arrived. The place was perfect for our needs! We were visiting friends for a couple of days and this place was only 7 minutes away. The lot is level it might take a minute to get backed in if you are inexperienced. I was able to back my 38ft diesel pusher in on the first try! The owners are right next door if you have any questions or they will leave you alone if you wish. Full hookups are a plus. 50/30 amp service. Walking distance from downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Julie’s property is private, clean and well maintained. This was our 3rd stay at this property and we look forward to the stay every time. We always have a relaxing time while we are on property and enjoy the views and all of the scenery near by. Awesome oasis in the city! Loved staying here and having a view of the neighbor's horses. Jared was a great host and super helpful—you won't go wrong here! I drove a 16' vintage travel trailer in, and there's plenty of room to turn around if you don't have great backing-up skills. Tons of amenities within minutes from the place.

Weekend Trip to Palo Verde Retreat

Palo Verde Retreat was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. The site was thoughtfully set up with a table and seating area, making it easy to settle in and feel comfortable right away. The host even had lights strung up around the space, which I’m sure looked lovely at night… although I have to admit, I fell asleep before dark and didn’t get to enjoy them! Overall, it was a wonderful place to unwind and disconnect. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a calm, restful stay.

This park is craggy, cactus-filled and full of history and legend. There are lots to experience here, even if you don't believe the site's lost gold myth. Enjoy the mountain biking trail, adopt a cactus, have a picnic or study the stars. You can explore the wilderness and trek into the surrounding Tonto National Forest.

Hikers will love this desert park, with six hiking trails leading into the wilderness. The easy, informative Native Plant Trail is great for cactus fans. However, if you've got adventurous kids, try the Treasure Loop Trail. If you're great at hiking, try the Siphon Draw trail and climb the Flatiron.

The park can be busy year round, although summer gets very hot. Some of the hikes are not recommended in summer due to the heat. You should book your campsite in advance, and also get a photo permit. There are 134 campsites to choose from, half of which provide electric and water. Sites all have picnic tables and fire pits for outdoor eating and fun.

Lost Dutchman Campground

This spot was amazing for a late October weekday stay. Included with the $15 camping fee was entrance to the park and showers! I camped in the overflow area and had a prime view of the Superstitions with few others around. Bathrooms were clean and the shower was hot. Temps were fine in the fall but I'm sure it would a lot hotter in the summer.

Lost Dutchman Campground

Camped here over President's Day. Got really lucky and there was only 1 campsite open, hike in spot 3, and couldn't have been more pleased with the location. The hike in campsites are the best, really secluded, and only a hundred yards or so from the bathroom. Campsite 3 had a clear view of the Superstitions. This is what you think camping in the Arizona dessert is like.
