A treehouse in the city of Phoenix?! Yes. Our 1 acre property just outside of the heart of Central Phoenix has two legacy pine trees, one of which holds a treehouse that was originally built as an extra space for our family and is now open for guests. Not too long ago, our neighborhood roads were dirt, and there are still several horse ranches in the neighborhood. Hiking trails start at the end of our street leading to the Phoenix Mountains and a 3 minute drive will get you to Dreamy Draw Park and Piestewa Peak, with endless miles of hiking and grand views of the city.Walk up the ramp and disappear into the branches of our giant pine tree. You'll find a large deck suspended in the trees and a cozy little treehouse with giant windows. No one would ever expect a treehouse in a quiet neighborhood of Phoenix. There is enough distance from the road and tree coverage that you remain hidden. Views from inside the tree are beautiful and you'll go mostly unnoticed! I built this treehouse as a work space and studio during the covid era, while working remotely as admin for a luxury treehouse construction company. Our family still lives in the house and we welcome guests to use the treehouse. The large windows allow for great views and are mostly hidden behind all of the tree branches. Enjoy the treehouse experience and wonderful views of our quiet neighborhood next to the mountains! The treehouse has a full size bed and a small futon. There is a bathroom in the property backyard about 40 yards away with a sink and hot shower. There is good wifi signal in the treehouse and a fresh water tank. If you stay more than one night you'll see me and my family going in and out the front door and walking our dog, but we'll always be behind and under the treehouse, never looking in (I built it with that in mind). The treehouses is watertight, no worry about rain, but it is not totally airtight so the temperatures are similar to camping and there is no heater. Phoenix winters are generally mild though and there will always be enough blankets for you! c

Best Sleep Ever!
Staying overnight in a treehouse has long been on my wish list. But getting to stay 5 nights was absolute heaven! Best sleep of my life. The interior of the treehouse is crescent shaped and cozy, which I found perfect for just myself. Personally, I'd have felt crowded with another person staying there, but I was also seeking solitude, which this wonderful space provided. I loved the interior and exterior layouts, the lava lamp, the wifi, and the deck of the treehouse. Getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom in the nearby camper was no big deal, and actually added to the sense that I was "away." And yet, the property is ideally located for easy access to restaurants, shopping, nature trails, and Planet Fitness, where my membership allowed me to shower. (For vegetarian and vegan friends, I highly recommend Veggie Village as a dining out/takeout option. My visiting carnivore chef friend also found the food so delicious, she ordered extra to take home.) Niko and family couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. I look forward to future stays at the treehouse. It's the perfect place to rest, recharge, relax, or even write a book! A friend and her granddaughter came for a picnic at the treehouse one day, and, after eating, they both went up into the treehouse and immediately fell asleep - it was so peaceful. (They loved their naps, and they loved the tree, whose name, it turns out, is Harriet. Harriet means, "house ruler," which is quite appropriate.)

Simple, fun experience for a short stay. Pleasant, helpful hosts. Lack of plumbing, despite access to the rv trailer, was a downfall.
