Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. If you are first time campers on our property, this is our philosophy. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out. Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

Hilltop Farm, Crows Nest

We are 10km from the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast, sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest, and even glimpses of Cressbrook Dam. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop. We also have secluded bush campsites down in the paddocks, these are private and peaceful with no other campers within sight. They are all situated to be able to enjoy the sunset. We feel very spoilt living here in this beautiful place and would love for others to share it. It is extremely quiet and peaceful, yet less than a 15-minute drive to Crows Nest. There is lots of activities within a short drive from the property including fishing at Lake Moogerah, hiking the mountain tops or having brunch at the amazing local cafe's in the area. There are 3 x 2WD camping options for caravans over 17ft or those not off road. Depending on the type of vehicle and van will dictate your camping locations. Maximum caravan access for the rear of the property is 17ft off road van. This is due to the hill climb and a tight corner at the top. Dogs are welcome but must stay within the camp, be under control or on a leash. If you have friends who you want to invite but don't have camping gear that's okay, we have the option to hire a camper trailer. All they need to bring is food and drinks. Only 1 available, please see Extras. We welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. All human, food and general waste is to be removed upon leaving the campsite. We have fireplaces set up but if you prefer a different site for your fire please bring your own fire pit. Good Firewood for camp ovens etc is available for purchase under Extras. For this one off price we will supply you for wood for your whole stay. Axe throwing has recently become popular within the city, if you must try it on the property , bring a board, our trees are not to be used as targets. Stay out of our gated paddocks. This is for Biosecurity and your safety. If you are first time campers on our property, this is our philosophy. We are trying to create peace and tranquility that people crave so much when they get out of their busy lives. We are not the place for rowdy parties or large groups ( unless you would like to book out the entire property) Most of our sites are nestled on different levels between trees and bush so you will feel like you are the only ones there. You are welcome to have a campfire in the provided fire pit or drum when there is no fire ban in place, however due to the unique surroundings we offer, we do require you to be extra vigilant with fire safety. You are most welcome to use your own off the ground firepit anywhere in your site. Please read site descriptions carefully as we have sites that are substantially different in access, privacy , level ground and distance to a toilet. We affectionately call our property "The Rustic Resort". This is a tribute to the rusty water tanks and dilapidated animal shelters that were left behind when we moved in. Our farm was once part of a thriving rural property in the 1920's. It used to be a dairy farm and then a banana farm. We now raise goats and cattle. Our property is dog friendly to responsible dog owners, we are happy for your pups to be off lead as long as you are the one in control. We have a large farm dam that never runs dry, (NO fishing please as we use this for livestock and swimming, and the last thing we need is hooks in peoples or animals feet. ) It is wonderful for a refreshing swim, there is a ladder to make it easier to get into the dam and during the summer months there are floating noodles for your use. Feel free to bring your paddle boards and canoes. We are centrally located to explore the Glass house mountains ( 20mins), Stoney creek (15min), Rocky holes (35min), Bribie island (40 min), Woodford (10min), Mt Mee (10min), Montville, Maleny (40min) and much, much more. We are 10 minutes from Woodford and the wonderful Woodford Folk Festival. "White Ridge Farm" in Elimbah is only 20 minutes from us, and the kids will love the interactive farm experience and cuddling the baby animals. Wamuran town centre has has an IGA, a wonderful butcher, bakery, bottle shop, 24 hour servo, a rural supply shop, fish and chip shop, a new pizza place and a Thai/Indian take away that is sensational. Wamuran holds a local country market every 4th Saturday per month from 7am to midday. There is a Woodfire pizza van in town 2 out of 4 weekends, look up Deadwood Pizza Wamuran to check the dates. We love them. If you would like to stay longer but feel like you need a shower occasionally, there is a public pool in Woodford and a public pool on King Street towards Caboolture , both are about a 10/15 minute drive from us. Wamuran is less than an hour north from the city, yet you will feel like you are far away. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.
