Cameron is a Star Host
Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out. Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Selecting a site will show more accurate photos of that particular location instead of every photo found here. Pets welcome however must remain on leash or tether *Please notify us if bringing a dog* Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper. Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw). Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

Work remotely with Dogs
A private & very well sized site WITH perimeter fencing makes it easy for me to relax with my dogs in tow. The curious cows come by throughout the day & I love that the loo is out in their paddock! Creek beds on-site make for great sniffing & we were allowed to wander the surrounding paddocks to cool off in the dam 🤙 Plus good service for working remotely!

Kippa’s Rest
Camping with my two dogs.
I enjoyed camping on Cameron's land, it was private, lovely bush setting, kept clean and tidy. I enjoyed seeing the cattle quietly grazing, which my two little dogs were stunned to silence watching. Will be back.

The Party Hut
Definitely worth it
Great spot. Clean and tidy and the spot itself is picture perfect. One of the best we've found so close to Brisbane. Recommend to all however there is a pet minding business not far from the campgrounds and if you are a light sleeper the dogs barking will be something you notice. That said we are going back and know now to expect the barking. The host is a legend and took time to address noisy campers (which we didn't hear) and make sure we were happy with the grounds and firewood supplies. We look forward to heading back very soon.

Kippa’s Rest
As described !
We stayed at Kippa’s Rest and loved it. It’s nicely tucked away with plenty of space! We had a camper too so a nice flat spot to set up was perfect. Location perfect. Directions clear and precise. We’d come back again! 😊
