Double Shoals Campground

The name says it all: Double Shoals is a two-site campground on the banks of the New River. It’s one of several very primitive campgrounds along the New River Trail, with no drinking water or trash receptacles available. You can get there either on foot via the trail, or by boat along the river. It relies on an honor system and doesn’t take reservations, so you’d better hop to it!
