Summit Lake Campground is a hidden treasure waiting to be found with only three campsites and a rocky access road that might intimidate many campers (the Forest Service recommends a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle to tackle this thing)! And that means you might have a little slice of Summit Lake all to yourself. Score! Just be sure to check the campground website for closures, alerts, and weather advisories before you head out.
