Arbuckle Acres offers an incredibly private camping experience with breathtaking views that make you feel like you're in a painting. The site is quiet and off the beaten path, with spectacular sunsets and starry skies. Roy, the host, is praised for his hospitality, ensuring guests have everything they need, from firewood to fresh eggs. Some campers noted the need for careful navigation due to steep hills and ditches, but overall, the natural beauty and tranquility make it a worthwhile visit.
This was an absolutely amazing spot. It was extremely private, with vast space between campers and an unbelievable view. We sat outside our camper and felt like we were looking at a painting! We were up at the very top of a beautiful grass hill and loved that spot.
Things to note:
You will have to drive up a fairly steep grass hill, so just ensure your tow vehicle is up to that. (My sequoia had no problem)
You’ll also need to level quite a bit, so make sure you have plenty of leveler blocks.
The last thing to note is that the entry requires you drive through a bit of a ditch, I did bottom out my camper on both the way in and out, but with some careful angling I was able to get out safely.
I would 10/10 go back again, it was a perfect spot. My only suggestion would be to add some fill in that entry ditch to make coming and going with a trailer or camper a tad less anxiety enducing.
Overall, 100% worth those tricky spots! Wish I could live on that hill!
Beautiful views!! Awesome spot to camp. Plenty of space and views for days overlooking the green mountains. The sun sets right behind the mountains. It’s truly stunning.
Great stay - just two watch outs: 1. no cell service at the site. 2. Be careful if you don’t have 4WD. The grade is not super steep to get to the sites, but our 2WD campervan slipped quite a bit on a dry day.
Roy’s land is absolutely beautiful! The views last night coming to the campsite and the views this morning were incredible. Drank some coffee and packed up while taking in some fall foliage. Thank you Roy!
Awesome place, great views, and peaceful setting . Rob was a wonderful host!
