Just a short distance from the battlefield itself, the campsite is located where more than 2,000 Cheyenne once camped, and where women, children, and elders remained during the historic battle. Such a cute place! Lisa put a lot of love and effort into it. The shower and bathroom is new and just a short walk 30 sec walk from the cabin. The sounds of cows and nature was really beautiful at night. There is a train that runs several times in the night, earplugs might be helpful for those that are not used to trains. I only stayed one night but Lisa was very accommodating.

We enjoyed our stay at Lisa’s! Quaint little cabin at the corner of their property, everything seemed very private like you had your own space, including a private bathroom that had its own entrance. Perfect place to camp and hike during the day - 20 minutes away from Tongue River Canyon trail which is one of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever done!

If you a history buff, this is the place for you. Located on the banks of the Little Bighorn River you will camping on the spot where Native Americans camped during the battle. There are no “ designated campsites “ , just find a spot off the dirt road. We have a 26 ft travel trailer and had no problem getting into a spot. It’s serenely beautiful and quiet. The second night we were there the Native Americans held a Peyote’ ceremony, they drummed all through the night until dawn. It was a magical night! I look forward to returning in the future. One of my favorite places.

My wife and I enjoyed our time at Medicine Tail Coulee. Though we were not fortunate enough to meet with the host, we had a really great time. This IS a working farm and so you have to accept that. The site was very large and quiet, it was really nice to have the horses come through camp (enjoyed watching them) and the cows nearby. There was a Peyote ceremony going on that weekend, and it was interesting to hear.
This area has its place in history and it was really powerful to feel. It was also amazing to learn about its people and their struggles even today.
Highly recommended especially for history buffs.

We actually used the gravel, back in lot, for our class C for full hook ups. The place has laundry facilities, electric, water and sewage. It’s easily accessible and was very centrally located, right across the street from coffee/beer/ wine/food shop. It’s also dog-friendly.

We wanted an authentic rustic tipi camping experience near a river and more isolated. We got that and loved it. We did each have a twin bed and there was a porta John. We had a stove, water, and camping supples, so we were very happy. I was even provided with worms and a fishing pole so I caught a catfish which we had for supper. About
Ever heard of Custer's last stand? This is where it happened—welcome to Little Bighorn Battlefield.
In 1876, Custer and his army lost their lives to Lakota and Cheyenne warriors. Now, you can explore the plains and imagine the battle unfolding. The easiest option? Download the park's audio tour and listen to it on the 4.5-mile drive around the park. The soldiers' and warriors' firsthand accounts make the fight come alive. Along the way, stop to see the Last Stand Hill and the site of the Native American village.
After your drive, head to the visitor center. Check out artifacts from the fighters, and listen to a ranger give a Battle Talk. If the weather isn't cooperating, stick around for the historical video. If you're bringing little ones, check out the Junior Rangers program. Feel like hiking? The Deep Ravine trail is a beautiful walk through the prairie. The park is open year round; be sure to bundle up during the winter.
Little Bighorn is especially beautiful at night—the Montana stars are spectacular. Check them out from your campsite at the many local campgrounds. Nearby, you can fish the Bighorn River or hike the Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area.

Different than what our schools teach us
Very powerful place to visit, though it was a sad day for many people it also shows the plight of the Native Americans which should be respected even today.
After learning everything, I can’t help but feel that they were wrongly treated.
