100% of recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp felt private.
My property is about 25 acres in size on a dead end road that connects with a 40 acre undeveloped Town Forest and extensive private forest beyond. A long private driveway through a diverse forest leads up to the top of the property that is an open meadow with southern views of the Groton Mountains. There is an RV site as well as shaded and open tent sites with a fire pit and some firewood available. There are extensive carefully maintained trails for nature walking and biking throughout the property. Many kinds of wildlife thrive in the larger area and expect the opportunity to listen to the melodic sounds of nature without human interference.Pitch your tent and/or park your camper van in this secluded hilltop meadow with distant mountain views and campfire ring and extensive trails leading up and down through an incredibly diverse and thriving northern hardwood forest. There are countless clean beautiful lakes and ponds to recreate on with in 20 minutes to the north and east while food, camping supplies and restaurants are available in the City of Montpelier 20 minutes southwest. This camp site is defined by its natural beauty, peacefulness and easy access to the many recreation opportunities, attractions and amenities in the region.

We had a great time tent camping in Sean's meadow this past weekend. The site is very private, the fall colors were beautiful, and we had great communication with Sean leading up to our visit. What we loved most about Sean's site were the very well-kept trails that wound all around the grounds. They gave the site a very magical feeling and there were so many different types of plant life everywhere. Our young son really loved all of the mossy stumps, tiny mushrooms, and little woodsy areas to explore. The site was sunny which was great and there is also a very nice shaded area for whenever shade is needed. We also really appreciated the firewood and Sean's very helpful recommendations for local hikes. The site was also easy for us to access with our 2WD car.

Peaceful, private camping spot

Very private, beautiful open meadow. Parking was a tiny bit difficult but nothing a reasonably intelligent person couldn't handle. Great communication from the host in terms of locating the site. Minimal amenities, but tons of firewood, and nothing but the changing sky and cricket sounds for company. Great spot!

We really enjoyed our stay! Sean was very communicative and we were able to find the site even though we arrived after dark. The spot is very private and my dog had so much fun!

We loved camping on Sean's land, it is very very private and feels like you are far from civilization. There was no toilet/outhouse but Sean did provide a bucket, trash bags, toilet paper, and a shovel - which worked out fine for us. We met Sean during our stay and he was very nice and made us feel at home - he also gave some recommendations for local hikes in the area.

Sean's Hipcamp was a great place for some solo camping. It was private and offered a nice level place for me to set up my small camper. There were trails around the property to explore and I enjoyed getting to spend time in nearby Montpelier and some day-trips. The Fox Market is nearby and a great spot to grab provisions, coffee, or a beer. Also, Sean left firewood all prepped and ready to go, which made setting up a campfire nice a simple.
