At the Confluence of the Mighty Llano River and the Majestic James River lies something completely unexpected - an undiscovered gem in the Texas hill country. The Dos Rios.
We have over 19.3 acres of hill country beauty to explore. Take a casual dip in the mighty Llano River, or take the plunge off of 20-foot red rock cliffs into deep cool water. Kayak, canoe, swim, visit the Eckart Bat Cave, or take a scenic drive down the gorgeous James River Road (a winding gravel road that goes over several low water crossings on the crystal clear James River). Enjoy the island in front of the property, with its beaches and multiple access points to swimming holes.
We also have camping, a tiny home and a fully renovated vintage airstream available (see other Hipcamp listings). We also rent kayaks and canoes!

Great Stay & helpful staff!
Great stay! The Jupes are gorgeous and brilliantly designed! Lucked out by coming during the slower times so, entire property was very quiet.
Will certainly come again buuuut, will come prepared to FISH!

What an amazing experience!! We’ve done a lot of tent camping all around. This was our favorite campground hands down. The staff up front…made us feel like we were in the right place. The road to the site feels like a hiking trail. Surrounded by nature. The showers were nice and hot. The outdoor sinks, perfect for dishes. The access to the river though! One of the best parts! I’m sure in the spring and after a good rain, it’s even better. If nature is your thing. Then this is your place!! Wait a few hours after sunset and just listen. You’ll hear the coyotes start up. I have nothing bad to say. We’ll be back soon!!

This is a pretty cool site for getting in the river and camping with friends, but it was very crowded and the campsites are quite close to each other. I did not think this RV was worth the price. I get that it’s camping, but it was very dingy inside with sheets that weren’t clean And a lot of dead bugs in various places, smelled like kitchen grease and had inoperable windows. I think it was worth about $70 max a night and definitely not what it is listed as once you go through all the fees from Hipcamp. I also felt the experience with the on-site management was chaotic and uncomfortable. My friends were guided to the wrong campsite, which caused chaos for us, and there were multiple occasions of needing to confirm our names with various people. For a weekend stay, that’s a lot of unnecessary interaction.
