Nestled in a tree-lined cove between a 15-acre farm and a small meadow, this serene location is often visited by deer in the early morning. Just a short drive from downtown Austin, it's the perfect retreat for friends to relax, play games, grill, and enjoy a cozy fire together. We're 4/20 friendly and welcome all well-behaved pets! NOTE: The heated spa is an added amenity of $30 with a two hour window reservation.

This 2023 Airstream Bambi offers a comfortable, modern glamping experience tucked away on a private, fully fenced half-acre lot in South Austin. Designed with privacy and relaxation in mind, it’s an easy escape from the city without having to leave Austin behind. Step outside onto the spacious private deck, surrounded by trees and peaceful outdoor space—the perfect spot for morning coffee, reading, relaxing, or unwinding at the end of the day. The Bambi is especially well suited for couples and solo travelers looking for a unique, laid-back stay. The fully fenced setting also makes it a great option for guests traveling with dogs. Our Animals Ducks and peacocks roam the property, along with our friendly resident dogs. The dogs play an important role in helping protect the birds from predators and may occasionally be seen making their rounds around the property. If you’re traveling with your own pets or simply prefer some separation, our dogs can easily be kept apart from your animals during your stay. Because they live on the property and help watch over the flock, you may still see them periodically from a distance. Come unplug, recharge, and enjoy a quieter side of South Austin. Tabla Raza is a beautifully restored 1976 Airstream tucked into a private corner of our wooded property—a peaceful retreat designed for friends or couples looking to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy uninterrupted time together. Our “basic glamping” experience offers a simple, private escape surrounded by trees and nature. Guests can enjoy the hammock, games, painting supplies, record player, outdoor spaces, and custom fire pit and grill at their own pace. Firewood & Fire Setup — $15 For guests who would like to enjoy the fire pit, we offer an optional firewood package for $15. This includes five pieces of firewood, reflecting the current cost of locally sourced firewood, along with the convenience of having your fire prepared for you. We’ll stack the wood in the fire pit and light the fire, so it’s ready to enjoy without any setup. Outdoor Shower & Bathroom Just steps from the Airstream is our outdoor hot-and-cold shower—perfect after a warm Texas day or for a relaxing shower beneath the trees. The bathroom is located less than 100 feet from the Airstream and features an upgraded outhouse with a Scandinavian-style composting toilet. This is part of the glamping experience and there is no traditional indoor bathroom inside the Airstream. Olympic Swim Spa Guests also have access upon request to our climate-controlled Olympic swim spa with powerful jets. It can be enjoyed warm during cooler weather or as a refreshing place to cool off during the Texas summer. During the summer months, we turn off the heater and typically keep the water around 88°F. If you’re interested in using the swim spa, please let us know so we can coordinate access and provide additional details. Projector & Entertainment A projector is available for movie nights and can be used indoors or outdoors. During peak summer months, we keep the projector inside the Airstream for comfort and convenience. Please note that we currently do not provide a laptop or Wi-Fi, so guests should bring their own device and downloaded entertainment. A Few Things to Know Tabla Raza is a genuine glamping experience rather than a traditional hotel stay. The outdoor shower, composting toilet, wildlife, trees, and sounds of nature are all part of the experience. You’ll also share the property with our two friendly, well-behaved dogs: Lucille, a Border Collie, and Buddy, a Mastiff mix. They help protect our fowl and keep watch over the property. About half a dozen Australian Spotted ducks also roam the grounds with peacocks coming soon. Because their safety is important to us, we ask that guests help keep the front gate closed whenever possible. Tabla Raza is a place to unplug, enjoy the outdoors, and experience a quieter side of Austin—whether that means an evening around the fire, a movie in the Airstream, a swim beneath the trees, or simply enjoying the privacy of the property.

My fiancé and I had a great time staying in the airstream! The airstream was roomy and the bed was super comfortable. Landers has just about everything you could need on a relaxing get away. The outdoor shower was somewhat close to the other site but we felt that we had privacy during our time there. We loved getting to watch the ducks and love on the dogs on the property!
