Even though we haven't seen any there are bears in New Hampshire so:
Secure coolers, grills, cooking utensils, any food not in use, snacks, and anything with food odors inside the locked compartment of a vehicle or trailer or a bear proof storage locker if available. Wipe off picnic tables and grills. Properly discard aluminum foil used for cooking. Do not keep food/snacks in or around your tent!
Camping by the river here offers a tranquil and picturesque setting, as highlighted by many campers who appreciated the site's privacy and natural beauty. The gentle sounds of the river create a soothing backdrop, making it a favorite for relaxation and unwinding. While the site provides essential amenities like picnic tables and fire pits, it's important to note that some visitors mentioned the occasional noise from nearby race tracks and the lack of shade. Overall, this location appears to be a great choice for those seeking a peaceful camping experience with easy access to both nature and local conveniences.
Private campsites right by the water. Got exactly what we were looking for. Straight forward instructions and Kevin was easy to deal with and accommodating. Will definitely rent again.
We absolutely loved staying at Horseshoe Bend! Our site was #3 private beach front! Very clean and beautiful area! It was a great spot for us and our 2 pups! Very private and the river was amazing! Granted it was pretty chilly to be in the river ourselves, but our pups definitely enjoyed some swim time! We decided to camp and have a campfire on the beach!
Kevin was an amazing host every time I had a question he was very quick to respond!
We are DEFINITELY planning to stay there again!
My husband and I stayed at site 3 on Horseshoe Bend and absolutely loved it! Our pup loved running through the river and chasing the falling leaves. It was peaceful and relaxing for us. We would book again in a heart beat, especially during the fall months with the colorful trees and scenery.
This was the second time we've stayed at this site. Once in the summer and then this past weekend in October. The site is beautiful any time of year. Being right on the river is a plus. We have a golden retriever who absolutely loved having the ability to run in and out of the water whenever he pleased. We will be back in the future.
