We are one of the first farms in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and was originally the first stage coach stop for the area. Our house built in 1750s and at one point had hundreds of acres passed down which were passed down from a kings grant The original area was named after the original settlers, the Browns. Our house was also tavern in the beginning. This property has only passed hands through 4 families and remained with the Browns for most of its life. It has stayed as a farm for most of its tenure. We own 40 acres of pasture and woods and would love for you to come stay!

Secluded camping!
I loved staying on Justin's land. I was on the campsite called "Deer" and the only one on the land that weekend. For this site, you can pitch your tent on a cleared out site in the woods, or in the field. Since it was fall and not too hot out, I pitched mine in the field, about 20' from the horses' pasture. It was very peaceful (I love animals but if you don't like to llamas, roosters, horses and goats nearby, book elsewhere), Justin was responsive to messages and I felt safe. I loved the option of being able to buy farm-fresh eggs and having firewood waiting for me upon arrival. It is a bit of a walk through (sometimes) tall grass from the parking to the campsites so be sure you have adequate footwear. Wildlife: crickets, owls and coyotes in the distance - and this is bear country so food needs to be stored so as to not attract bears.

A great spot for families with kids
Brown’s Ridge Family Farm is an immaculately maintained little family farm with alpacas, chickens, ducks, goats, horses, bunnies, and sheep. The weekend we were there, there was an adorable crop of little baby goats and my kids were allowed to go in and play with them which was super fun. There are 3 campsites on the far end of the pasture, spaced far enough apart that each site has some privacy. Each has its own little stretch of grass and a picnic table and fire ring as well as a shaded little clearing in the woods for a tent. At night we saw fireflies and heard crickets and peepers which was lovely. The tent sites are a 3-5 minute walk across the pastures from the parking lot. The one staff member we met was friendly, but if you’re looking for a hands-on Hipcamp experience where the farmer shows you around or swings by to chat, this isn’t it. Expect lots of space and independence!

Alpacas, ponies and sheep, oh my!
Lovely spot! There is a little walk from the cars to the campsites. A wagon would be helpful to haul supplies.

This place is wonderful! A great little site on such a charming farm! We loved getting to see the alpacas, goats, and other animals :) The 3 sites are definitely visible to each other, but they feel spaced out enough that we had privacy, but you can definitely see / hear each other! Definitely recommend this place as a great getaway spot.

It was my first time using Hipcamp. The animals at the farm were great. There were three sites near each other and each had a picnic table and fire pit. I didn't meet the host which felt a little weird since I was on their property but I guess it's because of Covid.
