Quiet and peaceful island in Duncan Lake, Ossipee, NH. Fall asleep listening to the loons, and wake up to beautiful sunrises! Approximately half an acre with plenty of level spots for tenting, great fishing (lake is stocked with trout), and excellent swimming. Property has a flat top Blackstone propane griddle (propane not provided), charcoal BBQ, and picnic table. Lots of hiking opportunities in the immediate area. Given the location, potential renters MUST have a canoe/kayak to access the land from the public beach. There are no restroom facilities of any kind, so please be prepared to pack in/pack out your preferred solution. Enjoy the serenity of this unique island oasis! Available May 1st - Oct 31st only. Parking is available at the public beach (Cleveland Beach).Enjoy peaceful nights under the stars at this unique island in New Hampshire! Fall asleep listening to the loons, and wake up to beautiful sunrises. Swim, fish, and paddle to your heart’s content (the lake has a 6mph speed limit; gas motors are not prohibited but electric and trolling motors or paddles are encouraged to maintain a peaceful atmosphere). There are 3 access points on the island to land/launch, and a public boat launch at the bottom of Harper’s Ferry Landing Rd. Parking is available at the public beach (Cleveland Beach). Property has a large fire pit and plenty of wood available to burn, along with a large flat top Blackstone griddle (please provide your own propane). This quiet little lake was a favorite spot of Grover Cleveland, and the aptly named Cleveland Beach offers great swimming at the opposite end of the lake. Loon sightings are common, and we ask that if any evidence of nesting is observed that you please not disturb. Enjoy!

It was an incredible place to camp! I highly recommend this site to any one who likes to row out and camp. There is a bbq and fire pit the rest is up to you to bring. It was very peaceful.

Duncan Lake Island
So charming
This is a wonderful, private and quiet little island. The kayak ride from the public beach is about a 1/4 mile, pack light! There is lots of wildlife on the island, including a large snake. We had no issues, would definitely go again!

Best Island Adventure Right Here!
You will show up to a beautiful dock and unload your belongings. Walk forward into NH’s beautiful lake scenery and begin to unwind. There is a charcoal grill and blackstone propane grill. A firepit to curl up to. Excellent fishing opportunities and you will see beautiful wildlife in the water. Float out by the dock. Catch a deep sun tan. Sleep under the stars. You will be on your own little oasis. Levi is a message away and super friendly. The area is crisp water and clean land. Bring a solar shower. Get refreshed and do it all again the next day. Wake up to the loon calls and fall asleep to them at night. Pack what you bring in and pack what you bring out. We used a paddle boat and had a dream like time! Book with Levi and reach out to him if you have questions. Directions are easy, 5-10 minute paddle. Pop on a true crime podcast, music, or just vibe in nature. My favorite part of the trip: my dogs loved the island. Lounging in the sun everywhere. You have a boat launch and a public beach to work with. Just be quick at the boat launch because it is small and respect the locals! Enjoy your time! I know we sure did-Zara, Clayton, Cocoa, and Rufio! Thank you Levi!

Duncan Lake Island
I really enjoyed the island it was a nice getaway! My only thing is I feel it should be posted as private property more than one sign because I woke up from a nap from strangers on the island walking towards my camp site. Other than that it was beautiful I’ll definitely be back.

Duncan Lake Island
Island life.
Great island on a small lake. Not glamping. Just a nice empty island. Snakes. A nice red squirrel frogs . loons. just what you want. Kayak ride is about 5-10 minutes So only bring what you need, unless you have a big canoe Only problem was he says they had firewood on island. They DO NOT. Just piles up huge chainsawed tree logs that are too big to do anything with and totally soaking wet. So having to go back into town to get wood stunk. But besides that thumbs up.
