20 acres hosted by Sara A.
This property has been in my family for three generations. It was used as a summer art escape for my great uncle, a summer vacation home for my father and friends, and now by me as a happy home. It is an original settler's property, with the original 17th-century cottage and cemetery preserved. There are 18 acres of land, including fields, forest and water, with a thousand feet of water frontage perfect for walking, boating and relaxing. There is also an orchard of heirloom apples and a nature trail just down the road.
The land is only a few miles from downtown Stonington, a working fisherman's village with art galleries and restaurants. You can catch a ferry to Isle a Haut and explore the many other attractions Deer Isle has to offer.
Hosting travelers' is a joy to me as I love to share this unique place and its history. The cottage is an Airbnb for budget travelers during the high summer and we have created this special hipcamp profile since we too are "vandwellers" in our off time. Stop here on your next Downeast adventure and share my beautiful land with me!
