Canvas tent 1-2 person
Misleading kayak rental
The campsite/tent itself was good. It’a not a completely inclosed tent, so you should expect bugs like grasshoppers to get in time to time. -Our biggest issue was with the Kayaks. A small and a large kayak were listed for rent at $20/each. I asked for the bigger one, assuming it was a two person kayak. When we arrived, we found it was just two single person kayaks. It was fine, until the next day came when we asked if they could deliver. They wanted some gas money, but then they could not find one of the paddles for a kayak! After attempting to search for it, they kind of just gave up and told us oh well. When I asked if they would be willing to purchase another paddle for us to use, they pushed back and said “maybe”. In fact, they almost seemed to discourse us from going at all, even saying that I could “tow my girlfriend in the other kayak if I want” which is kind of ridiculous to ask. -We followed them to the local store, where they only had two paddles in stock, and were $94. I forked over the cash, hoping they would be nice enough to at least compensate some of this cost. -We then get to the lake, unload, and the wife still asks me for gas money! $25 for a 25 mile round trip? After I just paid $94 for a paddle you didnt have? -To add on top of all of this, they had two kids and a dog that were constantly loud around camp. We wanted to get away to somewhere quiet, and it rarely was, outside for later at night. Overall, 6/10 experience. they should state correct info

Canvas tent 1-2 person
honest review of the site/hosts
Upon arrival the site was a mess as well as the canvas tents we had booked. the hosts offered us a hot tub addition and it was a rusted bathtub. we added a double kayak rental and they gave us 2 single kayaks (one isn’t even meant for lake kayaking) and ONE paddle that was bent and beat up. the kayaks were also disgusting - there was a semi empty can of beer in one and a missing sandal in the other. the hosts didnt accommodate for the second paddle and we were given options: tow each other, take turns using the one paddle or not go. we opted to buy a second paddle. (paddles cost $90) we offered to sell the second paddle to them and they passed. upon arrival we asked if they could transport the kayaks and agreed. After transport and the paddle situation is said and done, the hosts badgered and pushed us to give them $25 in gas when we barely went 10 miles. The bathroom was clean for all of 1 night. by the morning it was clogged and an absolute mess. I opted to use a hole outside the fence line as that was a cleaner option. The hosts has 2 kids under the age of 5 that would wake us up with crying and screaming all hours of the night and early morning and a chihuahua which wouldn’t stop barking at us and would've been nice to know prior to booking. The hosts weren’t welcoming and weren’t friendly, they didn’t accommodate for when water went out. My boyfriend and I ended up putting our dirty dishes in the car until we could buy bottle water because they wouldn’t refill it.

Tiny Cabin with Amazing Stargazing
Mikelle was very welcoming. It was easy to find and was close to a lot of cool areas. It was on their land so I was like half camping and half staying at a hotel. The area is known for the night sky so we saw lots of stars! .
