Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude.
The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect.
A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them.
The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy.
Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland.
The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin.
The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware.
Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful.
No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there.
Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes.

There are tons of trails/ roads to hike and bike around on, as well as many amazing views. Resort Valley Ranch was combined from around 15 homesteads by the Corbin family. A-Lodge Boulder is a 30 room lodge just 2 miles above downtown Boulder, Colorado. We are located in a wilderness area of Boulder Canyon, right at the junction with Fourmile Canyon. We have three #vanlife sites and four tentsites for offer on Hipcamp.
We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion!
Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc.
A-Lodge has a 7-day non-refundable cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, 50% of the total is non-refundable.

This is a beautiful 40 acre ranch on Hastings Mesa with views of Alder Canyon and Hayden’s Peak. You can hear Alder Creek flowing through the canyon from the comfort of your campsite. Many nearby options for bicycling, hiking, kayaking and skiing… even backcountry, in the area. Once you pull out the driveway you are a few minutes from Last Dollar Ranch Road (hike, bike, or 4x4) where True Grit was filmed, and about a 25 minute (weather depending) drive to Telluride, 35 minutes to Ridgway, and 35 minutes to Norwood. Just outside of Ridgway is Orvis Hot Springs, and more hot springs and a vapor cave can be found in Ouray. The property offers access to Alder Creek and our beaver ponds down in the canyon. The fields are blanketed with Iris and clematis flowers in May and June and other wild flowers throughout the summer including pentstemon, larkspur, and wild roses. There are patches of scrub oak and fields with cinquefoil bushes in the camping areas, and as you go down in the canyon there are aspen groves, blue spruce, and ponderosa pines. The backside of the property is up against BLM land, which everyone is welcome to.

The lake is an old gravel pit to make road base for local road construction.
The buoys in the lake are scuba projects from the local college CMU, and hold lots of fish. Other nesting platforms are for our local Geese and they hatch out in April-June.
We airbnb 2 rooms in our home as a shared facility and have airbnbs in Northern Ca and Baja.
Our home is off limits for campers as we need to respect the space for our other airbnb guests.
But in an emergence please call, cell service works fine.

It does not work at all at the tent sites. Just a few steps from the guest sites, you'll find our shared bathhouse with a clean portable toilet, hot shower, hand sink, and shared refrigerator where you can keep food and refreshments cool. The 160 acre ranch was homesteaded by my grandfather over 100 years ago. He was an engineer.

The plan was to use this property as summer grazing for his cattle. The cattle were wintered at the other ranch about 10 miles away, which was homesteaded by my great grandfather.
Because my grandfather could survey, he made sure the property lines zigzaged up the valley so the small creek was in the middle to provide water for the animals. He chose well. It is a beautiful, quiet place with elk, deer and wild turkeys. There are tons of wild flowers in the summer.
Columbines, the Colorado state flower, wild roses, paintbrushes and lots of wild chokecherries. With nice views of nearby mountains, open pastures, evergreen forests and aspen groves, it looks like it did 100 years ago. Plus, there are a couple of ponds for your dogs to cool off in. Since the first cattle, the ranch has also been home to goats, chickens, horses, and now more goats, alpacas and llamas. And of course the Great Pyrenees ranch dogs.
I had a house built a few years ago and live on the property full time. The ranch is surrounded by Pike National Forest with the Colorado Trail connecting the property in a number of places. Some of the highest ranked mountain bike trails are nearby. There are lots of places on and off the property to hike, mountain bike and ride your horse. Elevation 8,000 feet, Average Summer Temperatures: Days 60-80 f, Nights 45-60 f, Sunshine Average 73-80%, Colorado Trail Segment 3, USGS Maps: Windy Peak; Green Mountain quadrangles. This is the official info. Basically, the weather is usually similar to the Denver area - just 10 degrees cooler.
About 8 miles away is the small town of Bailey. It has just about everything you might need: small grocery store, coffee shops, gas, laundry, a dollar store, hardware store, camping and sports equipment, brew pub, winery, a few restaurants, potable water station and more.

Beautiful campsites for shoulder season camping (our van has a heater which we did need). We dis not see a soul while camping- but even during busy season, campsites are far apart so they are private. Host provided a good map and we were all set!

Loved this place and loved the hosts.. The cute animals really made it and the little farm stand was so cute. I was able to walk to town for a bit of exercise and some great food. I would definitely camp here again.

We were a group of 8 -- adults and a few teens. The site was great! Very private, room to roam, great to hike around and ride bicycles. The dogs loved it too. Beautiful area of mature trees and some flat spots great for a camper. Loved it!

Tim was such a kind and gracious host. The campsites were extremely well kept and we had everything we needed and more - cooking utensils, rags, pots and pans, propane heaters and fire pit and the best surprise was perhaps the stainless steel pre cooking table in addition to the picnic table.

We had a wonderful time staying in the tipi with our two young children. Such a unique experience! Everything was just as the listing described and there was more than we expected to explore on the property. The composting toilets were very clean. We'll be back again!

We had a great stay at this campsite! The site was well kept and had everything we needed and more. The mulch ground made it easy to set up our tent and gave it a little extra cushion. There was a bear box, a portable propane fire pit, an outdoor light if needed, and a bin with extra supplies like a lighter, soap, paper towels, and a dustpan and brush. There was also a picnic table outside, places to hang trash bags, and the porta-potty was clean and stocked with plenty of toilet paper.
Tim was super friendly and helpful! We parked closer to the main building, so he helped us carry our things to the campsite and made sure we were settled in. He also gave us some helpful tips about hikes in the area. You can tell he puts a lot of thought into making the campsite comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

A Perfect, Peaceful Getaway – Can't Wait to Return!
This place was absolutely perfect! Quiet, peaceful, and exactly what I was hoping for. Leaf was a fantastic host and made the experience even better. The night sky was absolutely amazing, and sitting around the communal fire added something really special to the whole experience. It's the kind of place where you can truly relax, unplug, and appreciate being outdoors. I couldn't have asked for a better stay, and the communal atmosphere makes it even more worth coming back. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend People of the Honey to anyone looking for a memorable camping experience!

Tim, the owner, has a vision for his beautiful property and is working to make it all a reality. He has put in great effort to making each glamping site comfortable and special. Tim has put thought into the amenities and my favorite item is the stainless steel cooking prep area. It is a treat not to prep food bent over the picnic table.
