Canyon Pines Ranch (CPR) is located in the foothills of Beulah, CO. We are approximately 25 minutes southwest of Pueblo, CO. The 240 acre ranch has stunning views of the Wet Mountain Range and the prominent Greenhorn Mountain. Farther out are the Spanish Peaks before the glimmering Sangre de Cristo Range. The Graneros Gorge with its ancient cliffs rising 600 ft above the St Charles River is a sight to behold, a hidden gem which is hiking accessible from CPR. ( See description)The approximately 400sf cabin-bunkhouse consists of insulated pine walls and a free standing wood stove. We do provide heaters and electric blankets if needed but the space is plenty cozy. The space stays cool in the summer months and has a ceiling fan and 3 windows. Quiet, peaceful, lovely. What a treat for our three little kids! I'm so grateful that I found Canyon Pines on Hipcamp, so I could give our kids this experience. They have been telling everyone since we got back, that they saw a tarantula and rode a horse! John was the perfect host. Casual attitude, and gave us our privacy, even if our kids didn't necessarily return the favor, by playing on his lawn!

Group trip
We had a great time staying at the ranch. Joy and John are excellent hosts and the property is very scenic. It was a nice place to get away from the city for a few days and decompress, I'd highly recommend checking it out.

Super cozy cabin with comfy beds, well-equipped mini kitchen, toilet, and hot running water (no shower). Beautiful grassy meadow area and great for stargazing. Bunk house is pretty close to the main house, but no one was there during our stay, so felt super private and quiet.
