Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation. Splitrock Farm Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Splitrock Valley - Vista
We loved our night away here at Splitrock. The boys were able to runaround climb everthing and get dirty. Coming from a childhood of camping this was an amazing experience! The trails, boulders, and fresh air were amazing. The best part was not having to get up or even pack the big items like the tent or tables. They have a very nice setup.

Rock Bottom w/ a View from the Top
Great small getaway from the heat for the weekend in socal. Note that there is no shade on the site other than the larger rocks next to the path! The view was fantastic and you truly feel away being that this site is the furthest away from others it seems. To maximize your fun prepare accordingly because the walk is far to the restroom, the fire pit is nice but consider bringing a rake to reduce your chance of a fire hazard, and prepare for ants because they love being where you are. For a laid back trip, minimal annoying flying bugs, and room for games, we will definitely be back in the cooler months to come

The Oak Grove Communal Camping
Great for group camping
An adventure getting there and fun times kept going on arrival. We had plenty of room near the Oak Grove for our group of about 20. Met camp hosts upon arrival who were very welcoming and relaxed. Water, sinks, and toilets were key. We got visits from a tarantula, snake, and a million hungry goats. Would definitely return.

The Oak Grove Communal Camping
Hidden Fallbrook / De Luz Treasure
Beautiful and clean site with beautiful views and trails and GOATS! <3 The host was very friendly and helpful. There were flush toilets nearby and water access; also dog and kid friendly. We moto-camped in the dispersed community; very safe, friendly, peaceful place. We had street tires (a cruiser and an adventure bike) and the dirt road was compact, not too long, and wasn't an issue for our bikes at all. We will definitely be back!

The Oak Grove Communal Camping
Wonderful stay
I had a great time camping at the Oak Grove communal grounds. Nice and relaxing, met some nice people and even made friends with a pig. I’m not sure what her real name is but I named her Apple. I even got to pet her. Also met a friendly dog and saw goats!
