This land has been a community gathering space for the Native's Ceremony and Healing Space for over a thousand years. Feast your eyes upon the Matates and traces of the people that once gathered here so long ago. Upon the mid 1800's we had a Settler named Nate Harrison find this to be the ideal space, and he set up homestead here, and lived an amazing full life. He was to become the first African American to aquire land here in San Diego County, and his homestead remains to this day; studied by archaeology students to this day. Sensitive habitat and magic lies within our gates, and we must approach the mountain as we would any sacred space; with RESPECT. We welcome you to enjoy Nate's land and inspire who you are deep inside your heart.

Couldn't have asked for a greater campsite for the weekend. Great views, friendly pigs and great hosts. They really try to make sure you're happy.

Vicki's hosting of the Harrison Serenity Ranch was very accommodating. There was a generous spacing between most camp sites, and it felt very safe the entire night. Although only able to enjoy 1 night of tent camping, it was a very nourishing and peaceful space. Would highly recommend checking out this space. Would like to say it was very nice that the property had staff to welcome us, and have us know about the resources around, such as clean facilities, and basic rules to ensure we respect the land we visited. Finally, check out this article, which featured this space! It really convinced me to witness this land firsthand! VVVVVV https://hiddensandiego.com/things-to-do/places/harrison-serenity-ranch

Feels like home
To say that I felt at home would be an understatement. You feel like you belong like that's where you're meant to be. It was an amazing experience and I have the next couple weekends booked to go back because I don't think I'll ever be able to get enough!

So beautiful
With kids ·
My daughter and I loved our time here it was so beautiful and felt private. With 67 acres there was plenty to explore. The bed was so COMFORTABLE! I have 2 herniated discs and too soft of a bed is a nightmare. Our bed was neither too soft or too hard. I am a glamping convert! Definitely recommend getting the propane heater. Vicki was so nice and helpful and has a charming dog that loves to say hi. The dirt road up was a bit harrowing in a Prius in the dark, it did make the drive but it was very slow and stressful and some rocks had to be moved. It was easier in the daylight, it wouldn’t be so bad in a car with a higher clearance, I also wouldn’t take a car with old tires or dodgy shocks.
