Camp within an active organic walnut orchard. Walk the property to learn more about farming, or to view wildlife. Private access to the Cosumnes River, with plenty of beach space, is just 1/2 a mile walk from the camp zone.
Unique, beautiful view. Just a short drive from Sacramento and Amador CountyCamp under the stars just minutes from Sacramento. Access to a private beach along the Cosumnes River! Pitch a tent or camp in your vehicle to enjoy a stay within an organic walnut orchard. Enjoy a flat, dirt area to park and set up camp. Explore the 55 acres of 30-year old walnut trees. Set up camp on the banks of the river then sit back, relax, and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is plenty of wildlife to view and enjoy, in their natural elements. From deer to turkeys, ducks and squirrels. You may even see bobcats or hear coyotes. (don't worry, they are afraid of people!) This is a dry camp with no hookups or amenities Remember, this is a working farm, so there are tools and equipment around, but please don't touch! Some areas may be muddy due to rain or irrigation. Please understand this is a working farm so some farm activity may be occurring. We will let you know if any area is inaccessible during your stay. Come watch the walnuts throughout the seasons: Spring bloom, Summer growing, and Fall harvest. So much to learn and explore on over 50 acres! Just a short drive to Elk Grove, Folsom, Sacramento or Amador County, there's plenty to do nearby while having a country retreat to call home for the night. Rancho Murieta is a short 10 minute drive away, with a grocery store, numerous restaurants, a parts store and a gas station, you aren't far from everything you may need. *Generator Available for Rent. Firewood may be available for purchase. Contact host prior to arrival to confirm.
