Absolute gem of a host, is Jacob. He's genuine and kind and really wants you to have a wonderful experience, whatever yours is for you. He's so accomodating; greets you on arrival, along with Gertie (the farm dog) who is equally an angel in a dogs body.
Such a fun place to find so close to San Diego, and yet far enough away to relax, hear mother nature, and meander the grounds with your dog off leash. A well equiped kitchen with professional gas stove, plenty of refrigeration if you're a "gourmet" (-; plus a wood burning professional pizza oven. Perfect shower and toilet facilities. Sites far enough from one another for privacy, and serenity. Plus, the host is kind and generous and doing this for all the right reasons.
The thing that struck me most is that the VIBE was "just right" ... not too high brow, but well equiped with necessities. We really had the FEELing and the experience of being camping on our own, but just comfortable enough that we could leave home for the weekend with very little other than the food we want to eat/cook/grill in a stressfree camping environment, less than an hour from San Diego.
I will NEVER forget our weekend here ~ a weekend away with one of my adult children. Magic. The spirit is good on this land. We heard many coyotes this weekend. It's their land too. And we were grateful for them; and felt safe inside this fully fenced farm. We all need more of these expereiences to teach us how to be the best we can be.
