Oh hellll NO!
This is hardly a campsite, and certainly not appropriate for any type of RV or vehicle over 7’ tall due to extremely sketchy “driveway” onto a narrow track of low hanging trees/brush & nowhere to turn around. Was forced to back our camper van out & nearly got stuck—thankfully it wasn’t muddy or poor driving conditions at all. I would NOT visit again & steer clear unless you’re looking for primitive weed-ridden bushwhacking in semi-dangerous riverside overgrowth

Ultimately we had a great night here. It is more private than it first appears. We were able to drive down off the road to the site. Otherwise, the host offers the option of camping on the public road which is not worth the price. It’s a very small space and hard to turn around so not recommended for large RVs or trailers. We have a 22’ class B high roof Ford Transit. Our roof scraped on low branches getting in and out of the spot and we were just barely able to turn around to get out. The site is fairly level but we had to use leveling blocks. Initially, quite a bit of road noise from traffic on the bridge but it got very quiet later in the night. Quite tranquil and very pleasant. It’s a steep drop to the river so you won’t be able to launch a kayak but there is a nearby boat launch across the bridge. Overall perhaps a bit over priced but a good stay and a good location.

Second stay was even better
I actually got to stay and enjoy the site a bit this time around. So relaxing to sit by the camper and watch the river go by.
Super easy to walk down to the gas station or really any shop on the main street through town. Also you’ll get to see some of the outdoor cats keeping watch at night. They’re very friendly and cute though.

Sorry it took so long to leave this but this place was a hidden gem. I can tell what his vision is, what he's going to do with the place. It's going to be amazing. Please everyone help support this property by staying here. I'm sure every penny counts. We shut up late. I mean really late and still figured out a way in. It's not the easiest, but he explains that. The town is adorable. People are nice and keep to themselves fishing right from your tent or van is just in the perfect setting. I can't say enough about how much I love this place and can't wait to see you what he does with it. We will be back. Thank you again

Beautiful River View - Great Host!
Knights Landing is an adorable blip of a town if you down know you missed it. I’ve been passing through between Chico, Yuba City, Woodland, and all over the California North State over the last 15-20 years. I’ve always wanted to stop and check it out on foot, but never had a reason.
Tod’s Land is in a very easy to find, but private and cozy location. Read his well detailed information, instructions, and recommendations. You’ll be glad to check the photos and confirm if your vehicle is cut out for the site.
This was a quick visit first stay overnight, just because the price was right! 🤣
I wanted to test out a couple new items I’d bought for my Campmobile Roadtrip 🚌 and that was all the reason I needed to fall in love with this spot 🤩
Tod is an amazing host, and incredibly friendly. It felt like other home sharing sites back when they were good. I felt welcome and safe, and even though I wasn’t there long, I looked around for ways to leave it better than I found it (pick up trash random trash and make sure Tod’s Land is ready for his next guest. Despite my incredibly last minute booking, and the late hour of arrival, Tod was quick to respond and very helpful with questions I had and didn’t know I had about what’s close by.
I will be back again, and I cannot recommend Tod’s and his Hip-camp site, right on the river.
Thank you Tod!
Sincerely,
Brennan and his trusty steed, Albert.

Deceivingly private and nice view
This place is deceivingly private yet still in civilization. The river and the mill across is a really nice view, especially at night. Tod and his friend were very friendly and we were offered his on site camper which was a nice place to sleep in so we didn't have to set up a tent. The site is private as noone lives there except for a few random dog walkers and some houses down the street. Great site for the money and a good rest stop to so many destinations.
