This land has been a community gathering space for the Native's Ceremony and Healing Space for over a thousand years. Feast your eyes upon the Matates and traces of the people that once gathered here so long ago. Upon the mid 1800's we had a Settler named Nate Harrison find this to be the ideal space, and he set up homestead here, and lived an amazing full life. He was to become the first African American to aquire land here in San Diego County, and his homestead remains to this day; studied by archaeology students to this day. Sensitive habitat and magic lies within our gates, and we must approach the mountain as we would any sacred space; with RESPECT. We welcome you to enjoy Nate's land and inspire who you are deep inside your heart.

Camping at Harrison Serenity Ranch
Do not go there. We went from Arizona and paid for airplanes and hotels . Long drive in heat and when we get there they have no clue who we are . I showed her my reservation through Hip Camp and they said they have no clue . Vicki was the person who never showed up . It was hot and flies were everywhere. The place was dirty no water in the heat and no one to help you . Disaster camping trip.

Camping at Harrison Serenity Ranch
What a gorgeous place! Quiet and peaceful, and with a beautiful view. Nobody else was there when we went and it was amazing. Lots of lovely and interesting wildlife like birds, squirrels, woodrats, toads, and even a snake! At night you fall asleep under a canopy of stars to the crickets, poorwhil, and owl calls. We also got to hear the beautiful sounds of coyotes yipping in the distance. Plenty of mosquitoes but bug repellent keeps them off. The camp staff who greeted us, Kari and Luz, were so sweet and knowledgeable. And Solo the friendly greeting dog was one of the highlights of my trip. The grounds were well kept, and the bathrooms and showers were very clean. Much more than I'm used to while camping. The road up to the site wasn't too bad either. I will definitely be coming back again this summer. Thanks for everything!

Great stay!
We LOVED staying here. The campsites were beautiful and the view from the edge of the mountain was breathtaking. They had a very friendly dog that played for hours with our two dogs and the host was very welcoming and made sure that we had everything we needed. 10/10 recommend this place!

There is a lot of junk. Lots of deserted campers, and trash everywhere. A warning the road was worse then we thought would have helped too
