A secluded, private, ridgetop cabin homestead hand-built with all salvaged, recycled & harvested materials. Simple and rustic; yet comfortable with all amenities. This land is "outdoor oriented" meaning outside shower, bathtub, pizza oven, bbq, sauna, laundry room, yardsports, etc. Foraging for huckleberries and wild mushrooms encouraged. Great opportunites for all ocean and river activities. Canines Welcome.Above the fog, with sweeping views of multiple mountain ranges of Northern Mendocino County. Private and rural yet under 10 minute drive to town of Elk, a and Greenwood and Navarro State Beaches and Rivers. Bohemian Pioneer themed shelters with all amenities including wood&electric heat, washer/dryer, indoor toilet & shower, wood fired sauna, wood fired pizza oven, outdoor bath & shower, hot tub(inquire)...This site is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts(surfers, fishers, mt. bikers, hikers) adventurers, writers and retreaters who want to experience all that the Mendocino Coast has to offer and connect with the Redwood Forest and Coastal Range. You will have complete privacy behind a locked gate~ The cabin sleeps 2 Cal King in Bedroom & Queen on outdoor deck. Clean bedding and towels upon arrival-$100cleaning(included in cost) fee ensures that a full cleaning(in accordance with new Covid-19 standards) happens between every transition of guests (including "Prez Suite" see below). 2-4 more people can fit in "The Prez Suite," a 24 ft. vintage Wilderness Trailer artistically upgraded(only available as overflow for cabin rental). Connected to trailer there is an outdoor covered kitchen(oven, range, dishwasher, refrigerator &sink) and deck as well as outdoor shower (w/ hot h2o). Coastal Ridge Cabin

4 stars! Great private spot, enjoyed working from the deck and then beach excursions (10 min drive away). The outdoor shower was a joy and will try the sauna next time for sure.

Coastal Ridge Cabin

Lovely, quirky couples getaway

Bon’s cabin and land is very special. Highly recommend as a weekend getaway or jumping off point for exploring the Mendocino area. Bed was comfortable and fully functional kitchen worked well. I would note the cabin is most ideal for couples, even though it is advertised for more people. At the time we visited, we knew going in that our adult son might need to stay on the couch, the weather wasn’t suitable this trip for him to stay outside on the bed porch.

Wonderful experience

We loved it here. Great directions, the host was super communicative and responsive. The cabin was lovely. With water and power. The kids loved the outside bath. Super close to the beach and plenary of places to walk and just hang out in nature. We super recommend this place. It’s got a magical vibes.

Magical Weekend at the Cabin!

Wow! This comfortable, peaceful and well-appointed cabin truly exceeded expectations. Everything we needed was provided and more. The King bed was very comfortable and had plenty of blanket and pillow options. The porch bed was a great place to relax and watch the hummingbirds. And the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals. Our dog had the time of his life wandering near the cabin and even made friends with the neighbor's dog who popped by to say hello. This is truly a magical place to unwind and relax. It's also a quick drive to many amazing restaurants if you want to treat yourself to an really delicious meal. We will be back - thank you so much Bon!

Coastal Ridge Cabin

Comfy cabin minutes from the beach.

Great stay at an eclectic, rustic, yet well stocked and very comfortable cabin. Had all the necessary kitchen amenities, comfy beds, good internet, etc., in a very peaceful, serene location not far from good beaches, seaside towns, and good restaurants. Nice host who is very responsive to questions about the property or surrounding area. Very easy to disconnect here, our dog loved it also. Highly recommend.

Coastal Ridge Cabin

Really enjoyable rustic cabin!

My partner and I had a blast, and our dog was completely enamored. The cabin offers all the comforts you could want, with a gorgeous scenic backdrop. We took full advantage of the outdoor oasis of the cabin. Lounging on the outdoor bed and taking in the view was a definite highlight. I enjoyed a hot soak in the outdoor bathtub, which also boasts a phenomenal view. We didn’t get to try the pizza oven, sauna, hot tub, or outdoor shower, but we felt like we had more than enough to enjoy at the cabin. The outdoor deck is relaxing, and the shaded area is a great spot for yoga. The cabin is conveniently located near the stunning Mendocino coastline. Plus, the moderate coastal temperatures made our stay much more pleasant. We also got to enjoy the Navarro River Redwoods State Park, a hidden gem full of gorgeous redwood trees and a swimming hole. Notably, the internet is fast, and it was strong enough to support a videoconference call I had to take. The only caveats would be that there is a musty odor, and there seem to be critters frittering around on the roof at night (which would wake up our dog). All in all, we highly recommend this beautiful private spot! Thank you, Bon, for making this rustic cabin experience available to us!
