We are in the very early stages of developing Woods by the Sea Ashram. Situated on a little over 2 acres of redwood forest including a year-round creek we have been slowly developing gardens and other facilities for those seeking refuge from the chaos of modern life. We are committed to supporting the recognition of one's true nature. If you are interested in treatment while you are here, please let us know and it can be arranged. My speciality is trauma release and the husband is an ayurvedic practitioner.Welcome to your charming wood cabin amidst the redwoods! Just 5 minutes from PCH and less than 20 to Mendocino. Here you will find the quiet beauty of the forest, a small trickling creek behind the cabin, an outdoor shower, wood stove, a small refrigerator, and a coffee/tea setup and *NEW* high speed internet. There is an 11% CA occupancy tax. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet. We look forward to seeing you in the trees! Sessions in somatic release/PNE available during your stay as well as ayurvedic consultations. Inquire freely.

Peaceful and Relaxing Winter Stay

We loved our two nights at this adorable cabin. Waking up (and outdoor showering) amongst redwoods was super peaceful. The cabin itself is quite spacious, very clean, and has everything you need. Nicole was a super responsive host and provided us a space heater and heated blanket. Even though it got around freezing temp at night, all we really needed was the space heater to stay warm (the cabin is really well made and well insulated). The internet (which is such an impressive bonus) cut in and out a bit but when it was it worked it was super fast. The cabin is a short drive to highway 1 and also not far from Anderson Valley, so we had easy access to Mendocino, Fort Bragg, adjacent hikes and wineries. Dog friendly was a huge plus.

I love this cabin!

With pets

We stayed in the cabin for two days and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cabin is nestled in the woods, very quiet and peaceful. It was very warm and cozy, perfect for relaxation. I especially loved the small decorative lights around the cabin, which made the atmosphere very romantic. The outdoor shower is the cherry on top—it’s very interesting! The location is also great, it's close to the coast. Nicole was incredibly kind and helpful. I accidentally left my favorite bracelet in the cabin, and she found it and kindly mailed it back to me. I highly recommend this cabin to my friends and look forward to returning in the future.

cozy cabin in the redwoods

Nicole’s cabin is a piece of heaven! Great location, close enough to the coast and state parks while hidden away and peaceful. The cabin is cozy, quaint and clean. We brought camping cooking gear and a cooler and were set for two days in the redwoods, under the stars. The outdoor shower is the cherry on top…. Absolutely amazing. 100% recommend and will be back

Couple hideaway

My husband and I loved this darling little cabin in the woods. super sweet with a fun outdoor shower and quiet cozy landing zone to settle our city nerves. Super simple with tasteful details. Kind, communicative host.
