Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
We bought this piece of property in 2016 - not because of the Main House, not because of the detached In-law unit, but because this sweet tiny unfinished structure tucked into the trees was screaming to be turned into something fantastic!  It became our passion project - and we build it out by insulating, sheet-rocking and adding on this dream bathroom with the vision of creating a truly special space in the trees! This tiny cabin is situated on the edge of forest land boasting redwood and oak trees, ferns, and the occasional wildlife visitor! Trails are just outside the cabin door.Bright yellow claw foot tub to soak in while taking in the expanse of the forest outside of the window. There is a newly built outdoor shower with hot water which is sure to enthrall any camper. If that isn’t enough to thrill, it is also only a 10 minute drive to the scenic California Coast!  The tiny cabin has a full-sized bed in the loft space up a steep ladder.  For the less nimble, the sofa on the bottom floor folds out to a bed as well.  Campers should feel cozy but comfortable in this space.  Some basic kitchen supplies are provided including mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, plates, glasses, silverware.  Please note, this is not a full kitchen so you may want to bring your camper stove or plan to eat out at one of Mendocino's many fine eateries!  There is a forced air Rinnai heater in the unit, so cabin warms up quickly. Strong and reliable wifi. The cabin is on a shared property and 100 yards or so from the main house. We also have a glamping spot on site so you may see other hip campers- or better yet- add this spot to your booking and bring your friends! You may also be greeted boisterously by our young German Sheppard "Kane".

We stayed one night in the Berber tea tent. It was such a nice escape and we enjoyed making a campfire and looking at the stars. Very private and quiet.

The tiny house is a super unique place to stay! We loved our weekend there and had a super relaxing time. Our pup loved going for walks on the property and we enjoyed a relaxing soak in the beautiful bathroom.

I loved my stay at the cabin on Elisa’s property! The place is super cute and comfortable, the outdoor shower is magical, and I enjoyed exploring the nearby trails with my pup. Elisa is a great host who provided fantastic recommendations of things to do in the area. I would one hundred percent stay here again!

If you're looking for pure magic then stay here! I felt like I was in fairytale amongst the beautiful redwoods. I felt right at home in the tiny cabin. Enough privacy and close to the incredible, outdoor shower! Super close to downtown mendocino and other state parks nearby.

Cot was uncomfortable with no cushion and a bar in the middle. If we didn’t had our own pillows and sleeping bags, I wouldn’t have been able to get any sleep. You could definitely find that level of comfort in a park instead of someone’s yard and with less hidden fees.
