Dad and daughter adventure!
Such a great spot. Biked, fished, and milked the goat! We were camping, super easy with shared kitchen, bath, and drinking water. Awesome place with kids. We will be back, TY!

This is indeed a perfect place for a wilderness retreat! And the hosts, they are some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met! I was looking for a dispersed campsite, with access to restrooms. This place was just perfect. I got to camp under a big maple tree right in the middle of a meadow, like the bodhi tree. As soon as I reached, I instantly fell in love with the place. Since it was summer, the meadow gave me the opportunity to sleep under a night sky filled with stars. The most brilliant experience of my life!

Gorgeous Star Gazing and more
We had a blast with our two kids here. They love swatching Regina Milk the goat, star gazing in the field last night, swimming in the river and so much more. She was sweet and helpful. It’s a huge area to camp and we will definitely plan to come back again.

Due to a family emergency, I was unable to stay during my booked time, but the host was very helpful with information necessary to guide us to the site and anything we'd need to know while we were there. They were also an open line of communication while we were figuring out whether our trio would be moving forward. I plan to book another time in the future.

We loved camping on Regina's large meadow, under the maple tree, and near the river and creek. It's rare to get a beautiful river to just yourselves these days as most campgrounds are overcrowded. The water spigot really made a difference at our camping spot. Star gazing was excellent. There are a couple of great hikes nearby if that interests one. Regina was a great communicator about the spot. We stayed 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wilderness Camping
Unfortunately my husband and I did not end up staying at this site. We arrived at our pre-communicated arrival time and there was no one there to greet us or help guide us to our spot. We were already a little on edge because this site is on private property way off the grid in northern CA with no cell reception. When we arrived there was a lot of broken down junk on the property (washers/dryers/cars/scrap) and it wasn't clear where we were supposed to set up our camp site. We wandered around for about half an hour trying to find someone to ask if we were in the right place and we couldn't find the host nor any other campers on the grounds. The site was also a lot different than we expected based on the pictures advertised. Access to the water was not what we were hoping for as the creek access was very overgrown and more of a stagnant pool than a running creek. There was a lot of personal items strewn about (like kids toys and random tools) and we ultimately just felt too uncomfortable to stay. The host was very kind and responsive over messaging and provided very detailed instructions on how to get there, but we personally felt that the site wasn't advertised as honestly as it could have been and never actually met the host in person. This might be a perfect off-grid getaway for some, but it just was not for us.
